Hey, all you Canadian guys. I assure you, most American gay men, perhaps except for one who lives in Chicago, do not broad brush single or a few incidents of gay bashing in Canada, to the murderous incidents in the United States.

No question that the United States is a bastion for extreme views, including those who would kill or maim people on the basis of skin color, religion, or who they choose to have sex with. It was embarassing to me to read that bull-bleep. While such things occur in Canada, they are more apt to occur in the good ole US of A. ...and I love this country a lot, despite that.

    This one was pretty horrific.

Not to mention the shooting that occurred down in Greenwich Village a couple of months ago in busy streets. I believe three people died. People were running to take cover. The chase happened in crowded streets with policemen firing at the killer, and the killer firing back...

I live in Harlem, I hear shootings often, even just outside my apt. I was walking home last year and saw a man break a bottle and beat a girl with it. Had to call 911 and everything...

Crime is still rampant...the crazies are loose... Subways are still not entirely safe... But it doesn't make the world news...it's like any other state...you hear about it on your local news for a couple of days, then it disappears...

    Why you hatin' ???

People, there is crime in every country, every state, every city...there are good parts of cities, and there are bad parts... what does someone's country have to do with it???

Dear Lord...people are so hypersensitive these days...

This is not a "I know you are but what am I" excercise. We are grown men guys...not 13 year old girls...

Guys, enough! Eatmenow/cutjockmasc or whomever you are, most of my closest friends are American (NYC, Honolulu, Miami, Houston)I am Canadian and I would never say anything bad about Americans as a whole. What you are doing is making things worse for your argument, you are showing hatred for Canada and Canadians and you clearly do not know many. What's worse is that you risk giving your fellow Americans a bad reputation by your comments, thankfully most people know that not all Americans are as hate filled as you are. I will not sink to your level and call you names, but, shame on you. From my perspective and based on the anger and intense hatred that is coming from you, I would be worried to meet you if you knew I was a Canadian..not because of an argument, but, for my personal safety. Your comments are all I know of you. Is that the kind of person you want to be?
