Is it a big no-no? We're having a heatwave in London but I don't know whether to expose my milk bottle legs to my work colleagues. Will they still respect me?(!!)

If you must wear shorts, then you should at least shave your legs and get a spray tan.

Yeah heard about the heatwave in London. 30 degrees Celsius or smth from what I've heard from my coworkers.

That's what we call 'warm' here, not a 'heatwave', sheesh. LOL

I'm British and I have totally tanned legs :-P

Wear shorts, but make sure they're classy. The heat is truly horrible today!

This is the second time I've heard about the heat in London. When I look on weather.com they are saying the highs have only reached 28 (82). I don't think that comes even close to justifying shorts. In my profession we were never allowed to where short sleeves much less shorts and summer days here are consistently in the 30s, often upper 30s.

Man it so sucks to be you then! One of the best things about being an academic is wearing shorts.

You people need to get some air conditioning. What are you a third world country!!!

I remember my first stay at a London hotel. I went down to the front desk cuz I couldnt find the AC thermostat in the room. D'oh! Dumb Virginian never heard of a building without AC! ... icon_lol.gif

I could wear shorts to work ( have great legs ) but I think the kissing leather men tattoo on my calf may be frowned upon.

As a Television DP/Cameraman my "uniform" for working is shorts, Tshirt and sneakers... the equipment (cameras, lights, support gear, etc.) is heavy.
When shooting concerts or awards shows, I often have to wear black long pants and a black tshirt.

I haven't worn a suit in at least 10 years older than at my ex's wedding last summer.
