I was thinking about switching cell phone companies and adding some features. I pay about $45 a month with AT&T/Cingular basic....kind of a crappy phone..... features roll over minutes and nation wide calling which i need.

I was wondering what you pay per month for services and if the other features, such as texting, internet, ect ...are worth it?

My last AT&T iPhone bill, $750.00 for two lines. Don't ask... I was traveling internationally and went way over on my data charges. I did successfully negotiate with AT&T to remove the data charges and just bill me for the largest data package.

Lesson, Google maps are awesome when traveling in a foreign city, I can't say how many times it saved me from getting lost, but it is very data intensive!

No, that's about what I pay for my plan with my G1 phone ($86.54 to be exact).

    600 Whenever minutes
    Unlimited Weekend Minutes
    Unlimited Weeknight Minutes
    Unlimited Web
    Unlimited Messages

It works for me since I don't make a lot of calls (I've only gone over my minutes once in the past 5 years).

Verizon, yep Blackberry not iPhone, please don't take away my gay card, I just got it! LOL

$110.00/Month - Family Plan: 1 teenager, 1 - 20 yr old, 1 - 92 yr old and me. (not much texting and surfing for grandma!)

    1400 Whenever minutes
    Unlimited Weekend Minutes
    Unlimited Weeknight Minutes
    Unlimited Web
    Unlimited Messages and data

    * edited: Also have the 10 friends for free. Of course if I could get this on a plan with less minutes I would have to pay so much and with 1400 minutes I don't need the 10 friends free...definitely a marketing tool!

I have a few cell phones and each one has a different carrier and plan. Cheapest one is my Razr from Verison, which costs me like 20 bucks a month just for a talking plan. Most expensive is my Sidekick from t-mobile at about 65 a month with unlimited internet and texting.

I have Altel and I've traditionally paid about $49.50 per month (not including all the crappy taxes and surcharges .. with those added.. about $65.00) thats for 1,000 minutes per month (no rollovers) and pay $5.00 per mo (included in the $65)
for a certain number of texts. I noticed my last bill went up to about $70.00 so I need to do a review. This is actually a great thread as I wanted to review my plan anyway... I'm beyond the contract period and need to know whether this is a decent plan or not.

I've been happy with ATT for years and laughingly, at times, keep my phones til they fall apart. But I shopped around for a new phone and found one for 'free'....well $99 then a $99 rebate on letstalk.com ..........It's a Samsung Eternity which is not unlike an Iphone without the free apps, but it has included with my plan....a GPS system, 3mpx camera ...I can watch TV....sorta and other cool stuff and my plan is between 65 and $70 a month....

    Check it out!

I just got the Palm Pre by Sprint and pay 100 for unlimited everything. It does not allow phone as modem so I had to get an air card for $59. My old phone had that ability. I am not getting great reception so I might buy the Iphone G3s next week but I know it is more..

I've been with ATT for 10+ years before it was even called ATT.

I'm on an old calling plan that isn't even offered any more. Pay around $35 a month after taxes/fees. 250 weekday minutes and unlimited on the weekends. Works fine for me, since I don't talk much. I do occasional texting, so I pay-per-use. Same with data. I only use it when I'm lost somewhere and need to launch Google Maps.
