    Hey guys.

So I started working out about a year and a half ago. I had no idea what I was doing, so the first six months were kind of useless, though I did manage to lose some fat. I'm now at a point where I've put on a lot of muscle and have gotten really toned up, though I still have a little more fat than I'd like around my stomach. I want to both bulk up and lose more body fat, but am afraid if I consume more calories I'll gain back body fat.

    Suggestions?

I would suggest eating just enough calories under maintenace full of nutrients and lift heavy moderaltely heavy weights of 8-10 reps and doing short intense cardio to minimize fat (20-30) min after each strength session icon_smile.gif good luck you can do it!

Thanks! That's what I'm doing really. I guess I just have to be patient. Until about six months ago I was only working out 4 times a week, now I do something everyday. Just went up in weight in benching, squats, leg press, and lat pull downs this week, so I'm happy about that.

    Thanks again!

Well, do you honestly think that question of how to gain muscle and lose fat is a novel one? No one else has ever thought to ask that? Do a simple search of forums and the journals above and you can find all the information you ever wanted.

And thank you! I like to think of myself as a really nice guy. icon_biggrin.gif
