    End the HIV Travel Ban!
The last step to ending our nation's discriminatory ban on HIV-positive visitors and immigrants is finally here but we're not done yet.

With your help, last year we succeeded in removing the ban from federal law. Now it's in the hands of President Obama's Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to take the last step and eliminate this harsh policy.

The Department of HHS has finally proposed lifting the ban, and the proposal is now open for public comment. We need your help to ensure that we get this effort across the finish line.

Help the Administration end this unjust, unnecessary policy.

The federal government often releases the public comments they receive, including the name and address of the commenter. If you don't want your information released, please add a sentence at the beginning of the letter below requesting that your personal information be withheld.

I'm not sure what Australia's stance is on people entering Oz who are HIV pos. But I'm sure we have a screening process, for people wanting to move here.

Over recent years we have had peole come to Oz, to live and who are HIV+, and these people have come here and been found out to be acting irresponsible, and putting life at risk, something I seen time, and time again from the gay community in the 80s.

So for Australia, I fight to keep such a ban in place. IT IS NOT DISCRIMINATION TO HOMOSEXUALS, AS ALL ARE TREATED THE SAME.

Maybe you have this stance, because it may make people who are HIV hurt? But............ the people who find out they have been infected hurt even more!!!

I am not sure about my status (eventhough I am confidence I am negative). I enter Australia thru Darwin. They dont check my HIV status. They ask all kind of question like why I am here, how long, check on my return ticket, go thru my lugage and giving me warning for bringing a chicken sandwich. But they dont check my HIV status.
