    Are you kidding?

The US Navy reporting a gay hate crime?
They are the most homophobic branch of the American Services
Don't forget they concocted an entire gay lie about a soldier trying to get back at the lover who supposedly spurned him
when there was an explosion in a ship's gun turret

That is a strangely written article, hard to follow. What I understood is that the Navy hints that it was a random act. The family suspect it was a hate crime. The Congressman suspects it is a hate crime and is trying to have it followed up.

Pendleton is mostly Marines and there is very bad mojo there. The Navy certainly concoct stories all of the time.

If the guy was Gay or Bi, killed, and then set on fire I don't know how it could be anything other than a hate crime.

Well certainly there can be situations where a gay man might be killed without it being a hate crime...

Example: Gay man shot (along with 6 others) during a bank robbery.

This wasn't a situation like that. I think one could make a case that "hate" certainly was a part of what happened here. How very sad.

    GQjock,

I read the book 'A Glimpse of Hell' about the explosion on board the USS Iowa. The lengths the department of the Navy went to, to try to lay blame on a man who died serving his country made me sick. If this was a hate crime, THEY sure aren't going to admit it.

What a loss for his family.

And government officials vacations on taxpayer dollars have increased tenfold. Do you think they care that the money they used for themseves and their wives (mistresses) could have fed and provided medication for povertish children? Could have stopped a child from going to sleep in the back of a car hungry. MF's

How much blame should Obama bear for caving in to the military on DADT? And by "military" I mean the generals because most of the rank and file is supposedly okay with gays now.

266 counts of blame and counting...and there's one pending in my unit.

That sucks, shouldn't the guy get charged with premeditated murder at least? I mean, isn't murder in the military a crime regardless?
