A friend of mine sent this to me so i thought i would share it.

As of today the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has released the latest nationwide announcement to hire potential Air Traffic Controllers. (Must be no older than 30 years old) This is one of the few federal jobs out there with an earning potential of over $100K! Not to mention retire before you're 50! This announcement closes on the 17th so if you are interested you will need to submit promptly. You can qualify for this job by having a 4 year degree or 3 years of full-time work experience, or a combination of both. With the way the job market is you'd all be crazy not to apply. The link is below. Click through the tabs and read the announcement thoroughly before applying. After clicking the "How to Apply" scroll down and click "Apply Online". You will be redirected to the "FAA ASAP" system where you will have to create a profile. You can return to this system to check on your status after the announcement closes on the 17th. You will get to choose from many locations around the nation. Some cities having Tower Controllers, Radar Controllers, or both. Feel free to hit me up if you need any insight regarding what type of facility is available at a particular location or want to know more info about the job. I am not recruiting or gaining any benifit in sharing this with you. I just have an awesome job and love going to work everyday wanted people that I know to possibly gain the same satisfaction. Please pass the word along to anyone else that may be intersted.

I don't know where you get the salary figure you quoted, but the site mentions a salary range of $17,540.00 - $23,565.00 a year.

When does the $100,000 part kick in?

That's like for the first month of training while you're at the FAA training center. When you get assigned to your permanent location for further training that's when you will begin to make between $37,463 and $43,867. As you complete each level of training your salary increases beyond that until you're certified. That's where the 100k kicks in, after years of being there you'll clearly go over that. Last year they over a 1 time signing bonus of 100k. A couple of my friends are pilots and ATC's so they let me know whenever they're doing this
