When should you stop using "Boy/Boi" in your screename?

So I see this a lot online so I thought I'd ask...

When you see a profile with the name "Boy" or "Boi [shudder]" in it, in your message box, and you click the profile and the persons listed age is above 22, is that a huge turn off for you?

I'm definitely not ageist before anyone starts, I just think having the word "boy" or any connotation of that word in your online name [when it's the 1st thing people see when they open the message box and then look at your pics to verfiy] is sorta embarrassing when you clearly aren't. Regardless of how nice a person you may be.
And even having it in at 22 is pushing it. I thought you stopped being a "boy/boi" at 21 [at least!?].

To put it in context: I had 3 messages from "boys" that were all around my age. I am 33.

Isn't there some cut off where you just suck it up and change it [your profile name] or am I just SOL on this one?

Check the Yes or No box and pass it to the back of the class ok haha!

A real Man should never use Boi, boiee, Boy or any other word associating themselves as somebody who's balls have yet to dropicon_neutral.gif

The term is repulsive to me, particularly spelled incorrectly.

Even if the man still looks like a boy, it's just cheesy. Reminds me of someone trying to be hip and cool.icon_smile.gif

erm no one passed the age of their early 20s looks like a boy, thankfully.

plus anyone at my age or thereabouts looking like a "boy/boi" has had Restalin, or a really great airbrusher when they took the pics!

People can do what they want... but I'd say by 20 to 22 yrs old--basically after college ends.

It sounds silly to place an age restriction on using a specific word. Then again... it seems equally silly when 30, 40, and even 50 yr olds use boi in their screen name

    Whenever you feel or want.

    [and]

There's no cut-off date other than the one you choose for yourself.

The date you choose may be much later than the one chosen by public opinion.

As the kinkiest person on RJ I think my opinion in this matter should be heard.

While I do not deny anyone their kink, boy, boi, and dog I take to equal passive-agressive fuckwit | red-alert | avoid | avoid | avoid | block | delete | restraining order.

Other statements I read as opposites:

down to earth = high strung before meth | watch out after
    normal guy = fugitive
    low key = high c
    masculine = drag queen
    straight acting = limp wristed
    into sports = water sports

When people put that they are a 'normal guy', I think, 'Oh, you mean you're boring.'

    Our answer is don't stop.

Do what you want with your screenname. Really, guys, LOL!

Is Sedative a drug? Nope he's a gay man. What a shock!

HotToddy is a gay man, not a drink. Who'd a thought?

Red Vespa is not a magical red vespa that can text.

lilTanker is not a small military war machine. Good lord, he's a human!

...and we could list a whole lot more...but we think you get the idea.

and RedHeadMat has shaved his head!

...some of us use physically self descriptive screen names, some don't.

    - these men in love
