Proctor & Gamble may sell its Pringles brand. What if they stop production? How will I live without my favorite salty cardboard wafers?

I don't see Pringles going away. It's such an established brand/product. And everyone loves crunchy snacks.

Besides, if Pringles were discontinued, it would be the end of funny cat pics on the internet.

Pringles is one of our favourite snacks. Of all the flavours, the original is still the best. We even bought them in Israel, and I'm racking my brains trying to remember whether we bought them in Italy as well. They are certainly popular here in the UK.
If production were to cease, it would be a big loss to all of us.

Oh gawd, what next! I go out of my way to find regular plain old Pringles for my partner because our usual supermarket doesn't carry them. Should i start hoarding now?icon_eek.gif

Just think how great it would be if people ate less empty calorie "junk food". How much less type 2 diabetes there would be. How levels of obesity would go down. How health care cost could do down. Yeah right I am dreaming. I know Pringles might not be the worst thing one could eat, but it hardly does anyone any good either.

My bf really liked them when we first started our relationship.... and I'd buy some for him... these days no.

Interesting, you used to see them everywhere, but I've noticed over the last few years they just aren't viewed the way they once were. I don't eat many potato chips anyway, so it doesn't make that much difference.

Wal-Mart does a brisk business in both Pringles and Frito-Lay's knock-off. P&G may sell the brand, but someone will buy it and continue to produce it.

I don't like Pringles. They are so artificial. Reconstituted starch. Bleurgh!

Guilty admission: I sometimes have Pringles Original, but only on special occasions. Last time was our most recent car trip to Key West, when I got the munchies for something salty. I was driving, and could put that can in the cupholder, fish them out by touch and eat them without creating a mess. But I never have them at home, where if I get the chip craving, I get the natural kind in a bag.

Aside from this product being unhealthy/fattening, its parent company P&G has THE CONTUALLY worst record of animal testing. icon_mad.gif
If you have any spot of conscious at all, you should do some research and NOT BUY any of this company's products.

I don't think I've ever bought potato chips in a can.............nor anything else at all whatsoever from a Walmart. I wouldn't look and feel like this if I ate crap. I suggest anyone wanting snacks just go with almonds, carrot sticks, pineapple chunks, bell pepper slices, cucumber slices (give me BACK that cucumber - you're NOT taking that to your room!)

Oh fuck y'all. I love my Pringles and Pringles-copycats (Spuds and the like) almost as much as I love Cookies and Pizzas.

At least they're sold at astronomical prices here to ensure that I don't eat them too much.
