Hi guys, I had my deviated septum fixed in November of 08 (Left at 100% blockage, right at 60%). Up until then, I knew my breathing wasnt the best but I didnt really know any better so I just pushed on.

A few weeks after the surgery, it was amazing to be able to take so much oxygen in! Unfortunately, before I was cleared to go back to sporting, my intake had already started to decrease again.

Even though the blockages on either side are significantly less than before, I now know what I'm missing in terms of quality air intake and I have a harder time pushing myself through exercising than before.

I guess my question to everyone is; who else is dealing with this and what are you guys doing to get through it?

For such a big schnoz on the outside, its apparently quite small on the inside and I wasnt given any guarantees.

I'm pretty much out of medical options, just looking for day to day advice and stories from others with similar problems.

have you tried those breathe-right strips? I've heard some professional athletes wear them.
