So I usually am the bottom when I am having sex, and I had a screw up the other night, so I was thinking about going to go buy condoms, but then I thought do I need to buy them?

IMO - you should always have condoms on hand if you are sexually active, whether you're the guy wearing them or not. For the price of a coffee and cookie at Starbucks you can have a bit of variety on hand to suit the occasion. It's either that, have to pass on having sex or do something stupid you'll regret later.

Log off and call Planned Parenthood right now. There is medication you can take that can lower the possibility of getting infected with HIV if you have been exposed.

Call now. Right now. Stop reading. Call now.

Absolutely... there can't be "screw ups".. well other than.. yeah.....

Seriously, its each parties responsibility. You have to take the initiative to always be safe. That means doing it your way, with comfort and safety always a part of the process.

If you own a swimming pool, do you chlorinate it or do all of your guests swimming in it bear that responsibilityicon_question.gif It's your cake, sugar! I think this question answers itself.

Ya, you didn't define slip up. My post wasn't said in anger, but out of alarm and concern. If you had unprotected anal sex you should call that number I posted right now for the sake of your health and lifespan.

Problem - You can't predetermine the size of your partner, unless you've already seen his dick. There are tops that require specialty condoms. You should be prepared for anything - definitely, you never know who you might run into, but if the condom you get is too small (or too big) then you're out of luck both ways.

I thought condoms came with the bottom... icon_neutral.gif
You mean you can't just insert a $.50 in to the slot, pull the knob and one pops out any more??

I feel condoms should be bought by everyone, no matter top or bottom. Sometimes I don't have condoms, and the tops do...and vice versa. It's being ready for any situation that arises, because we all know we have been there, when there are no condoms from either of you, then you have to spend the rest of the night with blue balls...or go get them from the store which is a buzz kill!icon_eek.gif

Good catch by MunchingZombie on your "screw up" comment, the potential significance of which went right over my head. If you did bareback, and didn't simply mean you lost out on having some sex from lack of a condom, I hope by the time you read my own post you will have done exactly what he told you.

Every bottom I've ever been with had condoms in case I hadn't brought my own. And a couple of times I didn't and needed his, mainly out of forgetfulness or else lacking the expectation I'd be going to bed with anyone. I would never have barebacked, so it would have meant no sex, or at least the anal the bottom wanted.
