Yuck. I didn't care for that dance mix or whatever you wanna call it of "Cruel Summer." Time to purify this thread...

    Much better.

And going back to that thread of 'Who would you go straight for,' I'd like to add Tamia.

That wasn't a remix, that was the original and you've completely missed the point..

    Bravo

Well the "original" I'm familiar with accompanied this music video:

However, there is no audio because of a lack of authorization by WMG. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's heard it and can help me verify.

It's the original version, the version I posted isn't a remix, the backing music was changed.. it's still not a remix

Thanks for posting that. That's the only version I'm familiar with, which was released in 1983.

I just did a search on Wikipedia, and apparently in 1989 they did a version ("Cruel Summer 89") with "New jack swing make over" with the new member Jacquie O'Sullivan. Judging by the sound, I guess that's the one you originally posted.

That, truly, was from the golden age of music videos. Part dance number, part fashion show, part green-screen video collage, all awesome.

I would be interested to learn who was the choreographer for the "It's a sin" video. It looks just like a scene out of an original québécois play called Le Dortoir.

Not the best version, we know lilTanker, but the one we wanted's gone from Youtube, and that one was fun all the way through....

and he's Douggie (although he really doesn't answer to that)

Doughy is bread rising in the oven...
