I have a pleasant dilema to deal with. Someone secretly bought me the gay magazine Instinct. I already subscribe to The Advocate and that's generally fine for me, other than the very infrequent evil, nasty gay porn mags I get like Firsthand or something else like that from the raunchy adult book store a convienent 3 miles away. So anyhow, someone quietly started buying me a subscription to Instinct. My brother has no clue what it even is, sis can't afford it, mom is a no go. I have a few other straight aquaintences, they're all clueless, and, frankly, I have no other real, live gay friends at all. So it must be one of YOU GUYS! One of you bought me Instinct! So fess up....who did it? Thanks, btw, it is a nice mag.

Who did you foolishly give your address to?

That'll be the person who subscribed you from here.

Lol....yeah it would be nice, wouldn't it? I never knowingly gave my address to anyone, including you all. I realize that none of you actually did it though, I'm just really really beginning to wonder who really did do it?

I'd wager that Instinct bought your address from The Advocate.

I'll go with paradox on this one. Instinct likes to give out free trial subscriptions.

So, it's Merry Christmas, I guess, from your Secret Santa at Instinct Magazine.

I believe it is (or was) a promotion with RealJock. You get a free trial subscription when you get verified. There are often similar promotions when you subscribe to gay.com - (I believe the same company owns the advocate and some other mags) and they don't even give you the choice NOT to subscribe.

I thought of that too, but LoneWolf66 isn't verified. And, when Instinct magazine was the verification promo item on RJ, it was optional.

You are correct Paradox, I am not yet a RJ verified member because I don't actually own the camera responsible for taking the assorted pics I show. I absolutely will verify them soon though.

If you bought a membership to gay.com they often include a subscription to The Advocate and Instinct as part of their fee.

Awhile ago I had a subscription to OUT Magazine. The subscription expired a couple months ago, but I started recieving Instinct, mysteriously,in the mail as well. I think there is a propaganda going on. At the same time, I staerted reciving a subscription to US Weekly, that I dont understand and outrages me!icon_evil.gif

HndsmKansan: Someone here wondered why I was using LoneWolf instead of something slse like, say, for instance, DaddyWolf. So I'm giving it a try out for a bit to see how it goes. What do you think?

instinct is such a terrible magazine that they have to give it away. having lots of subscribers (even free subscribers) helps them charge more for ads.
