Defying my diet logic!

I've just started a new diet that hass me eating 6 smaller meals a day. All that I seem to be doing is eating, or making the next thing I'm going to eat. One would think that I would just pack on the pounds, but lo and behold!, I have lost 4 pounds in the first week!

Funny how the human body works.

Be aware (if you haven't read it elsewhere in a diet book or on RJ) that the likelihood of losing 4 pounds the second week will decrease. The first week of any diet you're losing you're water weight.

Since I work at home I'm also able to eat 6 small meals a day (what I the Hobbit diet, "Breakfast 1, Breakfast 2, Lunch 1, Lunch 2 and Supper")... because I am now only eating a little at a sitting, and only when I am a hungry, and generally veggy, I've lost substantial weight over the months. It took awhile to get used to the 'little meals, more frequently' program, but I've found that I'm more satiated over the course of the day, don't overeat as much, don't feel bloated/stuffed anymore, and sleep better at night (since I don't eat past 8pm).

Best wishes on your weight loss!
