Though there are interesting points to be discussed about the philosophy and connections of this organization, it is not a sister organization of Al Qaida (the correct spelling). Your title is inflammatory and this organization is not black and white, just as the Israeli army's actions are never black and white. They strictly condemned the 9/11 attacks and individuals within the organization do not represent the entity, considering there's a million members. Posts like these only start and fuel hate.

Ryan (filmhottie) once again your being narrow minded. Hizb ut-Tahrir goal is to try to establish a archaic method of religious government for Muslim people uniting Islamic countries with a single leader equatable to the pope. They would like to represent all Muslims but I doubt all muslims would want to be represented by them. Mixing religion and government in our current society is unnecessary and predisposed to failure.

Al Qaida ( not Qaeda) and Hizb ut-Tahrir are not sister organizations, the only commonality is that their members are muslim. Unlike Al Qaida, Hizb ut-Tahrir works through nonviolent political processes. Members could possibly be terrorists but labeling all members of Hizb ut-Tahrir as terrorists is ignorant, and just makes you sound dumb.

I have dealt with Hizb ut-Tahrir over here in the UK. They are a very borderline organisation in my opinion. They have solicitors/lawyers and PR people who manage their message very carefully to the audience, so they don't get into trouble, They have been banned on many of the campus here (their main recruiting ground) on the grounds that they incite violence against Jews, gays, and western culture.
