I'm so annoyed. My second bike in two months, it was locked up in the store room outside my flat and they managed to break the lock and steal it. Grrrrrr!!! C*nts.

By used bikes but not too old. The fixie fad has made the oldies worth stealing too.

If you want a lock to work don't buy one at walmart. Locks that really work are about $60 +

I have a crappy looking bike. Its some old alpine that used to be my dad's. Its probably older than me. The gears only work with full functionality when your going up. If you go down. they don't always go to the gear directly below. That bike is the one I use and it has never been stolen at my university. Sure, the seat was stolen once, but that was because it was a really, really nice racing seat and the joint to take it off was on.

I'm going to do the same and keep it in my apartment from now on. And also buy one of those Kryptonite locks. I guess they had the time and tools to break the lock and take it. I had purposely bought a cheap bike as well. Oh well, the bike shop will be rubbing their hands with glee.

My bestfriend is a flatland bike enthusiast (he's quite good with the tricks and stuff). His bikes are his most precious possession (aside from his camera), he spends a lot of money just building one. And they've been stolen not once, but twice. LOL.

Once from the garage, and the next while he dismounted to buy something. Some guy just wrestled it off and pedaled away. Evil.

You just gave me my life plan... I am going to start a bike shop, then go around town stealing everyones ride. Muahaha

Then have somebody in a completely differnt state do the same exact thing, and we will ship the bikes that we stole and re-sell them at the opposite location. I won't even have to stock merchandise. icon_cool.gif
