So whats the best and cheapest way to lose about 15 lbs of fat, gain that back in muscle, and start boxing recreationally? Any advice?

And has anyone signed up for LA Boxing?

crtrainer saidI box for training and its great. You sweat like crazy and its the best for shoulders and arms. If you like pumped, veiny bicepts & forarms it's awesome. When I get finished I'm wiped out - but its a great feeling.
Advice? after the first couple of sessions, you may need to ice - I iced my entire left arm the first night. Also I was careful about my shoulder & arm workouts, giving them time to grow into the new routine.
I warm up for 15 to 20 minutes before, if I do any kind of real workout before the boxing it spoils the session, so all I do is the warm-up. I do some stretching with maybe jump rope, rowing machine & some pushups. Check out for wraps & gloves, talk to the trainer & find out what kind of gloves etc you need - have fun -

Haha, I remember those days when I would have to put ice packs on my hands because of all the bruising.

OP, boxing will do it all for you, except build big muscle, it will only tone you, but you can get shreded. I say find a local gym, buy some hand wraps/glove at a local sporting good store and the trainer at the gym should be able to show you from there, and STAY HYDRATED!
