OK.....the original post I posted the other day was in two different areas. I requested one of them to be deleted and now they are both gone. Sigh! Good help is hard to find.

Anyway......I am still interested in getting a group together on Sunday morning to do some mtn bike trails. Probably will be at Walnut Creek unless I hear from others requesting a different location. I'm thinking at 9:00am would be good. Hpefully get a good ride in before the heat gets high.

And for those who can't make it or don't have a bike. I will be posting monthly suggestions for get togethers. I'm looking at some of the indoor rock climbing places as an opportunity down the road. Also I will be up for any day hikes, etc. Being new to Austin, I'm not familar with where the good hiking is so ALL suggestions for that and anything else would be great.

Hope to hear from you guys soon.

Looks like I may have to reply to my own post to keep it in view for others. LOL

Walnut Creek Park is on Lamar just north of Braker. I have been on it a few times and it ranges from beginners to advanced. The advanced parts I was on really wasn't that hard. Lots of shaded areas but no markers. You have to be on alert for on coming bikers if on a narrow path or worse yet....people running or hiking it it.

Again for other months I will be up for trying other Austin paths as well as San Antonio's. Hope to hear from others who can meet up this Sunday.

OK....I'm still planning to ride on Sunday morning at Walnut Creek. I will be riding a blue and white mtn bike and driving a gray Mazda 3 Hatch.
