Ever been disturbed by someone's profile?

So i came across someone's profile on here. I wont give out the username for obvious reasons. The profile was basically a dozen or two pictures of this guy's torso. No face pics, no pics with friends, just his torso, over and over, virtually nothing else in his profile. Even his username was a suggestion regarding the awesome state of his body - and it is awesome too, to be fair.

There was a link to his myspace profile. I was curious, i clicked. Holy moly. It was just oodles of pages long filled with blown up background photos of his chest and abs, over and over. It was a disturbing narcissism, his profile was like a gargantuan temple of worship to his body, so one dimensional.

Have you ever come across a profile and just found yourself wondering what sort of person would have a profile like that, or slightly worried about their mental state? Well, frankly i am worried about the mental state of most people on RJ, with myself near the top of the list some days, but this was different..icon_smile.gif

Yes. A guy so clueless about himself. Bad english (very bad, almost childish), a degree of confidence (er conceit really) on his looks not matching with his profile pics. Not even close (and I'm not being catty here). You get the impression that he was being chased by hot young men all lusting after him for his looks AND $$$. In fact, it's not an impression, he actually says it. And a claim of being stalked by an ex. It was all so ridiculous it was in all probability a fake profile.

I had a theory that he was some really hot guy, just masquerading as a really repulsive one, just to catch a real prince so to say.

But then again. I've been reading too much Snow White and Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella and I need a whack on my head.

I forgot his name, he's probably gone now, last saw his profile in 2008 I think. He wasn't a forum poster.

Other than that. Just the usual 'icon_rolleyes.gif' type of guys.

Only once that I recall... and I even talked about it in a thread I posted.
"Profile turn offs" or something like that. The interesting thing is I just happened to notice the guy and after that thread, he started posting in the forums.. and continues to do so now (he never saw my thread).

The turn off: Very negative, stipulating how you act if you contact him...
pretty arrogant. His posts can be that way... but I've noticed he does have another side...

Remember that one guy who claimed he was gay but we were all going to hell. His profile was kinda normal, but he was a fire and brimstone zealot. I came to the conclusion he was a poser and had highjacked someones picture. Weird

I HATE profiles when guys talk as if they are so different and unique and they say things like "if you don't like it then deal with it" or something similar to that. Also profiles where people just list things that would make them ignore someone or not even talk to them. I can't explain it but some profiles just make me feel like I am being yelled at or slapped in the face and I haven't even met the person.

I hate writing stuff in profiles really, just talk to me and get to know me on the spot instead of reading some pre-thought, pre-constructed bs

On another site, I saw a profile with a bunch of poorly Photoshopped images. Like the dude was trying to be artistic. But it just looked horrible, as if it was done with MS Paint. Anyways, after reading the profile, I got the impression that the pics were not of him. They were the pics of his friend or ex.. who passed away years ago. The profile was a homage or tribute or something. Kinda creepy/disturbing.

Profiles that talk about how they have already found a special someone, but leave the door open for someone else to come along so they can "trade up".

    Disgusting!
