REACHING THE 5000TH POST: Whats Been Learned About RJ.......

I just realized I had reached my 5000th post here on RJ, either last night or early this morning. I took a few minutes to think about what I've learned here in the 1.75 years I've been posting...

    A little observation:

Certainly I'm in good company. Those with the most posts include the Mighty Cas (with over 12,000), Sedative (Eric has over 8,000 now), Surreal Life (where is he??.. come back Jonathon) at 5,800 or so, Red_Vespa (Tom's insights have always been valuable) at 5,600, Timberoo (Tim has in the 5,400 range), GQ Jock (Joey a little ahead of me), me, then right behind me is our friend Adrien (MuchMoreThanMuscle), GuiltyGear and
our insightful friend Steve (McGay) with about 4,500. If my observations are correct, ObsceneWish along with RJ's noteworthy couple Doug and Bill
of Men in Love and Chuckster are about to reach 4,000!
(If I missed someone, sorry about that).

What I realize first and foremost is, I spend probably too much time on this site.. but there's a reason. I enjoy it. The forums are insightful and informative (and yeah, maddening at times). We can have simplistic topics like the "Guy above you threads", but we also talk about everything under the sun... some I'm not that interested in, some very much so. We have very serious topics... the death of ones father, the experiences of coming out and coming to terms. Guys asking for advice...
The health and fitness articles are really fantastic. I've appreciated the efforts the RJ staff have made in professional writing, research and application.

And I have made friends here. I for one appreciate hearing about other RJ members, their lives, fitness, health and issues. This site puts others to shame. Just a note of appreciation at 5000!

    Chris

It is interesting that you ask what I have I learned after 5000 posts.....

Maybe it should be, what have we learned from you? About you?

    I will say this Chris.

You are a gentleman. Thoughtful. I like how you always make reference to your partner. You are an interesting guy who takes pride in his landscaping. You are courteous.

    Basically....I don't mind that you have spoken 5000 though I haven't even posted 1300....

This is because I enjoy listening to you.

And it is fun that we celebrate the big "windbags" on this site.... icon_smile.gif

Happy 5000 posts now shut up!
