I just pounded out 11 miles in 1:30... about half way through the run I felt a faint burn on my right thigh.... i kept running and finished. Later I saw a nice "burn" rash developed. That's the first time for me... I wore a pair of short black tights... i think they rolled up on my leg a bit and my other legs rubbed against it. How can I keep this from happening again... (should i use glide or a little longer shorts?)
Was it on the inside of you thigh...between your legs? I have had the burn you speak of before. Body Glide before you run, especially if it's humid. I swear by it.
These "burns" you talk of are not very fun and they can happen anywhere that you have a constant rubbing of material/skin or skin/skin. As you and Lax pointed out, something like Glide should work to prevent the friction. The only other suggestion I have is to not wear tight shorts when you run. Find some true running shorts that are looser fitting with a liner. Best of luck.
Thanks guys... for a while i was wearing longer tights. That actually helped me. I need to buy the Body Glide... When I first hear that name, I thought it was some new lube... in any case, I'm gonna go out and get some.
