All I could think is that you have disgraced the following claymation masterpiece.

The limited range of expressions in that claymation may look funny. But traditional greek plays looked very similar. They all wore masks.

But yeah. That was PRETTY GAY!!!

FAR better than "Watchmen" which I wasted time on last night....save for the hunky blue version of Billy Crudup..AKA Dr Manhattan (I'll have a double, please!) .it was a mishmash of time-frames and couldn't decide whether to be campy or serious......

I may be in the minority, but I actually thought that was pretty cool.
And truth be told, I'm willing to wager that's a little closer to what actually happened compared to the story in "Troy" where P was A's cousin and teacher.

I remember this from years ago when I bought the DVD. Derek Jacobi's narration and the real gay storyline was the intent rather than the more contemporary 'breederization' of the original story.
It is stop motion animation but not claymation. I thought the stylistic representation and use of the greek dramatics was beautiful.
I think its also loses something in a streaming youtube video.

Why? It's just the basic story of the Iliad, foundation myth of Greek civilization.

Wasn't it ok for Greek soldiers to boink each other? I seem to remember reading that somewhere.

Derek Jacobi narrated this??? I wonder if he read it for something else, edited into this later? Very strange. I never saw any little clay woodies, though. Would that be called a stoner for these claymation guys?

Completely BOTCHED and exaggerated in the wrong ways. Trust me, I know a lot more about Grecian society, customs, and ways of life than the average poster.

I don't know, but I do know that he was the voice of Nicodemus in "Secret of NIMH" and it was kind of weird to here Nicodemus telling this story while naked claymation guys played on screen... I kept waiting for him to also tell the story of the rats of NIMH and how Jonathan Brisby set them free (see below)...
