So I'm doing my usual web surf and they are doing a hunk to chunk special. They caught a recent Matt Damon.

Now I have never been a fan of Damon he is too young for me and alittle too Lean Muscle but i still recognized his looks.

Now here is my question.... When these guys get to hollywood and make it does it mean you stop working out and eat their feelings?

My next question is do YOU think you would become the same...?

This thread is very weightist and I'm appalled. If someone paid me millions to appear on screen as a lean, cut, alpha male who can kick anyone's butt, yeah, maybe I'd have that extra helping of fried lard at dinner in the dining hall with the gold plated china.

I don't think the after pic is really Matt Damon. Who is the guy in the second set of pics? Is that Brendan Frasier?

muchmorethanmuscle saidAnd by the way, those are some dreadful pics of Madonna. It's like she's aged super fast. Not judging her, but that's really drastic.

You try wearing stage makeup for 20 years and eating nothing but wheat germ and seaweed for every meal.

Besides, she is made up and back lit in the 2007 pic, but the second one she hasn't even made it to her hair appointment yet and isn't wearing any make-up. NO FAIR!

TattooJock saidto gain that much weight for a film is very unhealthy to your body..... you shock your body like that....

Robert De Niro has done it a number of times (Raging Bull, Untouchables, etc), he might be one to watch for negative long-term effects.

Matt Damon gained the weight purposely for a film - I forget the name... That photo is about 8 months old so the film is probably soon to be release.
As far as other actors... The only ones I would note that have gained serious weight, it had more to do with simply ageing than anything, or it too was for a film.

You can tell by her mouth that she's had quite a bit of plastic surgery. It's starting to go in the direction of Joan Rivers.

Yeah, she has had a lot of surgery, but honestly I think that is an unfairly horrible photograph.

If you catch any of us at the wrong second in time / wrong movement, we could just as easily look like that.... its just a terrible photo.

This is Matt Damon and he did put on weight for a movie role. I have no doubt he'll take it off again.

He's done the other extreme also, losing about 50 pounds for his role in Courage Under Fire, as seen below.

It is not just actors who can get out of shape ( not all by any means) but over here in the UK it happens to guys in the fitness industry too. I go to educational and training sessions put on by the top companies and some of the executives are so out of condition. How could they let that happen? They are supposed to represent us at the highest levels. I was recently at a meeting which was on the fifth floor. When I arrived there were a dozen or so of these guys waiting for the lift on the ground floor. I could not resist it so shouted, 'hey guys, I thought this was a fitness meeting we are going to. Lets use the stairs. I am loads older than all of you - no excuses.' I headed up the stairs 2 at time - and they all followed and they were not a little out of breath when we got to the 5th floor.

Is this the Judy Garland syndrome, where she was constantly under pressure to lose weight, to the point where she had to use so many uppers and downers it led to her early death? Maybe the normal state of over-30 males is "well-fed hog." It sure takes an effort not to lapse into obesity. Channing Tatum let himself go a year ago too, now he seems back in shape.

The photo is for an upcoming movie. Is it unhealthy to fluctuate that much? Yes, but these people are guided by professionals to do it in the least destructive way possible.

Kevin Federline while dating then married to Britney:

Divorce and $30,000 a month in child support plus, D list status with nothing to do but take care of your kids when Britney doesn't have them gives you :

The notion that these mainstream Hollywood men are letting themselves go is false (yes B listers are but that is because they are B or below). Mainstreak does it for movie gigs.

Not sure if Well Fed should be considered a Hollywood man... more like a leach who hit the jackpot. These actors might be paid to look a certain way, whereas Well Fed is paid to stay away.

Actually that particular photo of Madonna's was proven to be photoshopped by several blogs yesterday. Photos from the same set on photo agency websites do not have her arms looking like that.

To be fair to Madge, she's in her 50's! Still, never underestimate the power of make-up and a good stylist!
