...so you think you had a bad night. Last night, I was a dinner party hosted by an acquaintance of mine, Dr. Lechter, and well, that meal.......

This is like that video of a guy's arm snapping in half during an arm wrestling match that has been making the rounds in the blogosphere: worth pondering, and getting the heeby-jeebies over, but certainly not actually worth watching/reading about. icon_eek.gif

Sadly, it's true. Really did happen. My question is how could someone so obviously psychotic have been allowed to keep the baby, and why did no family member intervene before it was too late? I'm guessing the woman will use the insanity defense.

Yeah on the second paragraphs it say "Otty Sanchez, who police say told them the devil made her kill and mutilate her only child, cries I love him and says she's stabbed herself in the heart and stomach while her sister tries calming down the 33-year-old mother."

    oh wow!

I'm going to presume this woman has serious mental problems, and her baby was the innocent tragic victim of her disorder. I hope our US justice system handles this case fairly, though I have my doubts.

Dreadful anecdote: WARNING -- Read no further is you have a weak stomach or no sense of warped humor.

While taking my Broadcasting college degree, one of our requirements was to conduct a "4-minute live demonstration" on camera in the studio. We could be as silly & outrageous as we wanted (I performed a military execution by firing squad).

One of my fellow students demonstrated brain surgery, with himself as the neurosurgeon in full OR whites. He used a foam wig dummy for the head.

He showed how he opened the cranium, and when he removed the entire skull cap on camera, inside was this brain-like material. He had previously hollowed-out the foam head and placed this stuff inside.

It was packed with cooked spaghetti, which on camera was sufficently realistic looking. He explained to the audience that the diseased portion of the brain had to be cut out.

"And what do you do with the brain parts you remove?" he asked to the camera.

"You eat them!" And he gouged out a big hunk of spaghetti and began to eat it on camera.

We hadn't had a full rehearsal, and no one knew he was going to do this. Even though it was only spaghetti, students in the studio crew ran out retching, and one actually vomited in the hallway outside, leaving one of the big floor cameras unattended. Their sickened cries could be heard over the microphones.

Of course we loved it, and he got an "A" for his project, at least partly because I was the student "Executive Director" which meant I controlled studio access, approved the projects, and made input to the professors who gave the grades. Grotesquely gross has always been a favorite of mine. icon_twisted.gif

I saw it early this morning.

It sucks, but what would you expect from someone who's crazy.

I could only imagine what that little baby went through when that woman cut him up, opened him up, and started nibbling.

I just think if this woman had truly been in and out of the hospital for such a mind altering illness, why did it not occur to anyone to take the child from her?

Even the sister admitted that she was hearing voices and kept trying to give her the baby. Why as a sister, as an aunt, would you hand the baby back to your relative who is telling you that she is having hallucinations and is scared and thus is trying to give you their baby?

Along with that was another awful headline about yet another fetus theft case. they found the woman wrapped up in a comforting in her closet dead. Apparently the smell had led the landlord investigating.

Some awful sick things take place in the world.
