When e-mail "no responses" get nasty....

Well I try and answer e-mails sent on RJ... sometimes it takes a little while, but I do try to respond. Most here are reasonable, but some have no patience. I had traded a couple of e-mails with a guy here and it had been a couple of days since I had a chance to send a comment and he sent another one consisting of:

"Your self description didn't say anything about being a shallow pretty boy so what part of my response prompted the decision of no response?"

He got a terse response from that....

How do you deal with those who seem to show a lack of patience?

I once went on a hissy fit because of a similar situation. As Tanker said, I learned. icon_redface.gif

So I vowed never to send emails first again! Problem solved.

I have been guilty of impatience regarding email.

Never got nasty about it though.

Reminded myself that some people have more going on in their lives than the internet fitness site.

Now I count myself fortunate to get a response. I don't waste time being fussy about how long it took to get it.

depends on how buggery the person was. it can be as short as "bye" or as long as "fuck off"

I do find it annoying when people don't respond. If you email em, then a few months email them again (maybe they missed it or something) and they still don't respond.

If I'm not interested I usually just tell the person, unless it's a guy who is 40 years older than me half across the world looking to cam.

I think he's got to keep his "crazy in check". I know I've written to guys and not heard back sometimes and it sucks. At least a quick "hi" or "thanks" is always polite.

Sounds like this guy was just a little "overzealous" but you've gotta just be chill when you message someone or you can come off like a crazy person.

I agree, it's better to let people know when you are not interested, It's kind of rude when you don't say anything. Besides you don't let that "maybe" in his mind that makes that he send you more mails.

I'm grateful that they let me know so soon, that they're an ass.

I do my best to reply as soon as I read the message. It's just good manners. icon_smile.gif

If I send a message, I don't automatically expect an answer. There are many reasons why people don't reply back, but I do find the funniest are those who think they are "too cool" to reply. icon_lol.gif

muchmorethanmuscle saidI would doubt that the system is designed to allow someone to have 600 unread emails in their mailbox.

I`ll let you know if i ever reach some kind of limit, but clearly 600 is not it..icon_smile.gif

I ignore them, my sense of self isn't tied to someone who gets that bent out of shape where there sense of "internet etiquette" is concerned.
