I'm not much for style so i just go for a t-shirt and sweats or track pants. In the summer, maybe a tank top or something and good quality sneakers/running shoes if u do cardio and most importantly my IPOD (the love of my lifeicon_biggrin.gif)

One pet peeve is guys that work out in jeans. I'm not saying there's n e thing wrong with it..it just looks kinda strange to me (but that's jsut me i guess)

Tanks and underarmour shorts for me. I sweat a lot so the less I wear the better or else I will have a drenched shirt and sweatpants all through my workout. I have my towel handy to wipe myself off. Gold's gym is pretty good at having disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer stationed throughout the gym.

I am a big UA fan.

Cabela's has some of the best prices around.

and UA definately shows off all your hard work in the best light.

I usually wear the UA shorts, a pair of plain shorts over, and maybe a UA polo shirt to work out.

If I might suggest - if your gym is a little stylish or cruisy, or if you are just hoping it is - one of the hottest trends lately are these 'special edition' athletic and running shoes. Try to find a nice pair that stand out, show that you have your game on, but aren't totally over the top. ex.:

mmm UA is alittle bit to boring looking to me. I suggest Calvin Klein workout out gear. Maybe a CK top and some American Apparel track shorts would look great on you. Why cover-up such a nice body.

For you I'd suggest wearing nothing at all. icon_smile.gif

RBK Playdry has some nice stuff too

icon_lol.gif Well, I suppose its the difference between doing a serious workout in performance apparel and looking good doing it - and styling in good looking clothing while showing everyone that you're doing a workout. icon_smile.gif

Keep it simple... Nike, Adidas.. Champion... Everlast. Keep away from the fashion bitches. icon_rolleyes.gif

Champion seems to work best for me. Russell Athletic is always very good and their shorts and sweat pants last forever.

I'm totally not following your statement. Nothing wrong with UA he asked what else was out there.

    Trying to be helpfullly here.icon_rolleyes.gif

Sorry - not really trying to dis anyone either, but...

I just think CK and American Apparel are a little bit too 'designer' - made more for styling than for serious workouts.

Keep it simple - Russel, Nike, Everlast, Adidas, Champion, etc.

Well built, sturdy, athletic clothing built to take some punishment.

LaCoste, Polo, and [Insert designer brand of choice] make workout clothes too, and I might wear them for lounge clothing for an evening on the deck at the Lake, but I seriosly doubt I would wear something like that for a 5k run and a heavy workout at the gym.

some nice boxer briefs would be good for you.

But seriously, I like russel, affordable and good quality.

Get something that is of the color you like, is comfortable and makes you feel confident in the gym.

there's a couple of ways to go...
depending on your willingness to fit in
    Gyms come in two forms
... the utilitarian bang your head aganst the wall grunt gym
where a tee shirt and board length shorts are the thing
    or... the fashion police gym
where you'll be talked about in the locker room for weeks if you don't wear something off some designer sports line

I sweat a lot when I workout so a tank is a must
and I like long shorts or work out pants to go with it
