Hey, anybody in the Albemarle-Concord area know of a good spot to play ball?

Welcome to Real Jock, Trey. I live in Charlotte, but don't play basketball so don't know about the pick up spot. Try to do a search for the cities and see if you can chat with the guys there about it. icon_smile.gif

Well its not at Golds thats for sure, I workout there too man. If you wanna ball the place to be is the Stanly County YMCA. Pretty much running games all nights except Wednesday and Friday during the week. They also play at lunch time a couple days a week too.

Cool thanks guys for the input. I guess I should head over to the YMCA and see what it is about. Hey Chizzad, do you play often?

My bf plays regularly and I play from time to time. I'm just getting over a groin injury and don't wanna push my luck. Also I stay pretty busy so most of my time at Gold's and the Y are spent lifting.

Ah I see I didn't know that. I have been here my entire life and the Y has been the gym setting balling spot for as long as I can remember. As far as parks go chuck morehead usually has people playing in the evening but the court and goals suck balls worse than gay men lol. You can also play at the E.E. Waddell community center on Waddell drive, you can also workout there for free.

Haha cool. Yeah I am an Alabama transplant, so forgive me :-). I tried the Waddell Center...a little too silly for me. I like to play with people who a) can play and b) don't act like little children when they don't win. So I am definitely gonna check out the Y. Yeah, those goals at chuck morehead suck more than I do :-). Thanks for the input again.

Just trying to put it all out there man. I have never played at the Waddell Center but to be honest you will have cry babys everywhere you go. Just brush it off and move on. Heck I'll give the little babys the ball back if they will just shut up and then hopefully we will still win haha.
