It seems that anything we do leads to something negative, doesn't it? Eating fish is good for you one day, bad for you the next; drinking prune juice is great for the body one day, but bad for it the next; consuming one glass of red wine a day is great for the heart on Monday, but it turns out that, by Tuesday, it will be the death of you.

Blah, blah, blah

Having overall cholesterol over 240 is not that uncommon among folks who are overweight, or have bad genes.

http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/08/04/cholesterol.dementia/index.html

Big Pharm has an agenda to press cholesterol drugs (statins, in particular, are a big business with Liptor doing over 1.2 BILLION annually) even though some of the drugs have some adverse side effects on liver function and skeletal muscle.

This speaks to the obesity pandemic. WE HAVE TO CUT DOWN ON THE FAT ASSES.

By 2010, it's estimated that 49% of all Americans will have some form of chronic disease, much of it related to obesity.

I'm one of the lucky ones: my cholesterol is 130. A result of good genes, good lifestyle, and a lifetime of exercise.

too bad brains didn't come with his genes. Not always true, my Dad had hypercholesterolemia his was as high a 600 and he never lost his sharp mind. None of his 8 brother's did as well. No one died before 75 so far.
