Pac-10 gets shafted by the BCS again. ASU should be in a BCS game, and Oregon State should be in the Holiday Bowl. . . .but no surprise - ASU's left out & OSU ends up in the Emerald Bowl.

Since the Beavers were in the Sun Bowl last year Oregon gets the bid even though they finished behind the Beavers.

Well, it's interesting to see the disarray the BCS is in now. It would have been fun to have seen West Virginia and Missouri in the final game, though an argument could be made for other teams. Now it looks like Ohio State and LSU. I would have liked to have seen Virginia Tech in there given the tragedy from last spring, but LSU did beat up on them, so I'd say that was the more fair choice of the two.

I would have liked to see USC draw a team like West Virginia or Georgia in the Rose Bowl. Illinois? 3 losses get you in a BCS bowl?

It was a crazy year, and each year, the system has more and more flaws. Playoff talk is ridiculous though. It will never happen. Too much money involved with the ancient bowl system. There are too many bowls anyway. It used to be a reward for a good season, and now 6-6 teams go. I'm sure going to the Purina Cat Chow Bowl in the middle of nowhere is a ton of fun for the coaches.

I hope they bury Illinois in the 1st quarter!
