What's up with all these, "Would you date..." Questions today.

If he's cute, in good shape, likes to workout, fairly normal personality then his profession would not matter.

It's a nice break from the "guy above you" series.

Mr. Tim, your profile states you're a nice guy. By that response I think it's time to update your profile.

Sorry I was just being honest! It IS a lame question. Being nice and being honest is not mutually exclusive :-)

You're pretty new here so let me clue you in:

This thread is a joke. It's part of a running series of "Would you date a _____"? that have proliferated recently. I even started one myself. No one is taking this or any others of them seriously.

Is this a serious question? I think the issue would be dating a medical professional, whose schedule might be demanding, and if there is a significant income disparity between the 2 of you. His medical specialty would seem largely irrelevant to me. What would you prefer -- a proctologist?

OIC, kinda what I thought, my last post just moments after yours, sent before I read it. I'd still like to know if he'd prefer a protologist.

JP took the words right out of my mouth. Pretty soon Tim will see that we are all just a bunch of goof balls filled to the brim with sarcasm and bad humor.

Urologists are among the top paid physicians in the business. Of course, I'd date one!

What a bizarre question.
I don't give a big rat's ass what he does for a living.
It's hard enough to find someone acceptable.
Now, you want to eliminate some perfectly wonderful guys because of their profession ?
Aug 07, 2009 2:28 AM GMT
I would
Aug 07, 2009 2:51 AM GMT
This is a strange topic. Insecure and not wanting the guy you're dating to perform his job, in this case a doctor. Seriously? This is as bad as the "would you date an LMT?"

Outside of mobsters, drug dealers and prostitutes, anyone who refuses to date someone based on their profession deserves to be single.

I could NEVER date a successful, educated, self sufficient, driven, financially stable man, who purposefully went to 4 years college, 4 years med school, 2 years residency, and probably another 2 years of clinicals to just look at penis all day. It's clearly the only reason why someone becomes a urologist...right? Right?

The threat of being catheterized is enough to say one great big emphatic "NO"!
