Picture this..... ( I know, I sound like Sophia Petrillo on Golden Girls).

A breezy warm summer evening. NYC harbor with the Statue of Liberty waving in the background...the lights of the city twinkling all around you.

Two guys go out on a first date. One of them has an engine assisted sailboat. They meet at the dock.....food and drinks are brought on board........music in the background.

They go sailing for a few hours. Laughing, talking......quiet reflections on the water with a gorgeous sunset. The waves rock the boat and give momentum to two naked bodies getting intimate.

One of those guys was me ( the one who brought the supplies). A fantasy night with a sweet, kind, intelligent guy who happens to be handsome, fit with a great smile, an infectious laugh, a sexy voice and GOD....MANNERS!

Don't know if anything like that can ever be repeated.

Problem is...like Rosanna RosannnaDana says.."There's ALWAYS something". He's in the closet..........I can't develop anything serious with someone in that situation. But that aint going to stop us from doing it again...and again.

A great date depends on the chemistry and circumstances between the two guys. It can be very low key and quiet, or kinda dramatic with all the trappings.

Describe a great date you had.

Sorry about that. I just adjusted my post with a caveat.

I got off the plane and waited by the baggage carousel. He came down the escalator like a hero.
We hugged and went to his car in which the A/C just broke and the temperature was 112 degrees in the shade. I didn't care as he was gallant and hotter than I had expected or hoped for. We had a romantic lunch and held hands, not like children, but men.
We walked around beautiful plazas and saw some sights occasionally leaning into each other for that contact that's almost electric and sometimes we just stopped to talk.
Then we went drove to the house and had a beautiful evening with a grilled filet mignon dinner, in a more quietly and privately romantic setting. We talked about our lives and families, our joys and difficulties, and we laughed. We could not take our eyes off each other. This built to an incredible evening that was truly a great beginning to an incredible future, and all that was only the start of a flawless 3 and half day date. The first date.

This pretty much describes how I feel as well - and I can't add anything else, except to say how amazing it is to finally meet someone I'd been writing to and talking with by phone for months What I learned is you can cover a thousand subjects by phone, but actually being in the presence of each other is so great - I cannot describe it. Looking into each other's eyes, touching each other, the first time you hold hands, that first hug - that first awesome kiss. Later - that first time - - well, you know! When something is right - - life is so good. Are we lucky. icon_cool.gif

Someone ran an extensive search for certain kind of guy and wrote to me a long letter describing himself, his goals and what thinks is an ideal relationship. After almost a year of type chatting, webcamming and a few phone calls, he was coming to Vegas to work for a few days so I went there to finally meet in person. We met at noon in the lobby of the hotel his Company had him in and from the first moment our eyes met, there was the greatest indescribably feelings I have ever known. As we walked to my hotel through the crowds on the stairs, tram and everywhere, We held hands, said very little and all I could see or hear was HIM!
Even after a wonderful afternoon of lovemaking we could hardly keep our hands off eachother at a very romantic candle lit dinner.
We went to the pool and Jacuzzi but could stop touching and getting sexual so we went back to the room and ... well, you get the idea.
We woke up in eachother's arms and after more love making (NOTE the sex was good, but this was way beyond sex) we had breakfast and he had to work. We had talked about his moving here but unfortunately, family and work have kept us apart icon_smile.gif
    We still stay in touch.

I've been on several dates w/ guys both out and closeted. I've recently started dating this guy frm E. Hampton he's a few yrs older but our last date we attended Empire Pride a gay sponsored event that hosted a little over 2000 people in the backyard of someones home. What made this a great date was. He invited some of his close friends over for cocktails so I would not feel overwhelmed by meeting sooooo many people in such a small window of time (he's a sponsor for this event) It was my first gay pride anything and I had the best time. Everyone was Great the music was fun a lot of dancing on a beautiful day. Alcohol played a small part as I wanted to have fun and not make a ASS outta myself. afterwards the sponsors were asked to stay for a private BBQ but we left to a dinner party. In any case it was my 1st coming out party and what gets better than a Hot guy, good food, fantastic music and stunning visuals!
