Yet another UFC PPV is tonight. I enjoy hanging out with friends and watching them when I can. I prefer watching it at a bar, but most of them (especially BWW) get too crowded too quickly, sometimes forcing me to watch them at a house. If you wactch them, where do you prefer to go?

Feel free to give any predictions about tonight's PPV, UFC 101, too.

I definitely prefer in a home with a small group of people. I can't stand listening to jerk-offs at another table who always spout of something in public settings that sounds like they need to be noticed with a tapout t-shirt. Ummm, duh! And maybe because I'm mid-30s, but I'm so over the BWW scene altogether.

With friends OR LIVE in Las Vegas.

Nothing beats a live experience. I will take all the craziness of the crowd for the amazing energy and over the top fun.

We should get a "Real Jock" group together for a fight in Vegas.

I have been to live fights in Vegas. It is hard to beat the energy in Mandalay Bay leading up to a fight. You are walking around with the fighters, at the pool with them, surounded by other fans. It really is a great experience. I remember waiting for an elevator when Gabriel Gonzaga walked up the day before the Gonzaga- Couture fight. I asked him if I could take his pic with my cell phone and he said I should be in it. One of his entourage took the pic of me and him fist to chin. Just a nice guy.

But in reality, I do not like to be at fights live. The cage blocks so much you end up watching the big screens. Live you miss so much.

I do not have many friends that are into UFC or MMA so watching it at home sucks. I usually go to a sports bar. I like talking to people around me that are into it. Usually str8 guys but if you know what you are talking about it really does not matter. Yes, there are posers in TapOut shirts that do not know a kimora from a rear naked choke or a crucifix. But I have found most of the guys are fans and know something about it. I find the bars fun. There is energy, some ribbing, some bets made and just general excitement that you do not get at home.

SHIVA- If you are down for it I would love to get a group of RJ guys together in Vegas for the next UFC fight there. I am in the hotel industry so I would be more than willing to get us a discounted room block at a hotel. I am a meeting and conference planner and my company books more group rooms in Vegas than anyone. So, I have the connnections.

Well I've not had a chance to see a UFC fight live but alot of my str8 buds love to watch a good mma fight on the tv.We don't order the ppv fights though the last time we pitched in for one it was a big let down when it got the main event. But we do have local fights with local guys,I got to go to one in feb and it was kick ass.I also have a cus that has just started to fight and he's going to be fighting for the first time on april 17(2 days after my big 40 b-day) and I really hope he kicks some ass.I'll let you guys know so you can watch for him and I'll try to post some pics if I can.

I normally go to a sports bar to watch them but occassionally I pay for the ppv at home. I have never been disappointed. Unlike boxing, the UFC almost always has great fights. If the main event is not great, you still get 5-7 great fights on the undercard. I used to pay for the ppv boxing matches and if the main event sucked it was a waste. But UFC almost always has great fights from the undercard to the main event. I give them credit for that. I would still rather go to a sports bar and watch with a group of fight fans that know the sport.

I wish I could watch the fights, but I can't really afford it. Do most sports bars offer them?

I don't know if this is country wide, but Buffalo Wild Wings shows every PPV UFC fight. That's always were we go. Either that or to a buddies house and we all drop $5 at the door to help with the cost of ordering the fight.

Sports aren't for everyone. But they're for me. UFC is the boxing of my generation.
