This contradicts the very same post that you left just a few days ago. Not sure what post it was exactly but I remember reading how the post recommended eating 30g of protein in one sitting and no more. I have to agree with this and read this years ago. Here in your diet you're eating 60g. That's too much at one time. Perhaps split those drinks in half.

Oh and by the way, you're eating nearly 2g of protein per pound of body weight. I think that's a lot. I don't think that's necessary.

Where are the carbohydrates? Some nuts? Some bran flakes? One bagel? I'm surprised you're consuming so many calories. What's in those shakes? Sugar?

I'm really trying to get by blood sugar under control, I get the most unbelievable troughs and spikes so low carb and especially sugar. Protein drinks sugar is all lactose or rolled oats and I know they are a lot I try and keep them around and drink them slowly rather than chug them back.

I don't think you can say there's no carbs..there's almost 400 grams of them

I'd say add more, and add more substantive food. That diet looks half liquid to me, and there doesn't seem to be enough in it for a diet intended to make you gain. I'd glob meals 3 and 4 together, add a new meal 3 that looks like meal 2, and replace meal 6 with something else (cottage cheese and chicken salad maybe).

Eat some veggies too! Buy a huge bag of frozen broc and add it to all the chicken meals.

It's 4000 calories any way you cut it, so I figure I must be able to gain out of it. I say meal 3 I mean my after workout shake and it already has too much protein in it to gob together with anything more.

You're right though I'm thinking of ditching eating chicken out of precooked packets I already have enough protein, it's v.expensive and I could stand to replace it with fruit and/or veggies

Sweet. There you go. Watch your results take off. You can even bump it off another 1000 with a few more complex carbs, and more protein.

You need some poly and mono unsaturated fats in there, too. Add some almond butter, or peanut butter, some place.

Keep it up at 5000, and eat the complex carbs to keep your insulin levels and blood sugar more constant. You have a leaning here towards simple sugars, which are o.k. pre and post workout, but, you should have more complex carbs. You're shy on protein. Bump the chicken to 100 grams, or 150g.

As I said, don't forget the good fat.

If you hit 6000, you'll be fine, as long as you avoid the simple sugars, and fried food.

Make sure to eat late, too, so that you're not going to bed hungry.

You can even squeeze another two small meals if you want. Just don't drive your blood sugar sky high with sweets. You need more complex carbs. The liquid stuff is fine, and as easy way to include more calories.

Eat. Get those calories up, and you'll feel your metabolism take off, and see gains. With good food, you won't get fat if you're active.

Add sweet potatoes, pasta, rice, grits, potatoes, oatmeal, farina, for complex carbs. You don't have any. Add some fruits and veggies. They're tasty, and low calorie, and good for you.

4000 calories isn't always 4000 calories. Without a good amount of solid food, you might find yourself passing most of your protein undigested.

Yeah, you are right, though, that shake has too much protein to group it with something else. I would cut it entirely and replace it with a full meal.

What's precooked chicken? As in, rotisserie chicken or something like that? Just bake your own chicken breasts, 3-4 at a time, and you'll have plenty on hand for multiple meals a day.

If you're really aiming to get bigger, though, I'd bump the whole thing up 1000 more calories over two weeks or so.

I'm going up by 1lb-1.5lb a week so I figure anymore is going to be pushing it too far so I plan on taking it slow until the end of august and I'll get my bf% and measurement taken and if it's shows no significant gains I'll bump it up more.

It is just that bulk packets of chicken that comes already cooked so I don't have to bother doing it myself, just eat cold or jam in the microwave

Shake is heavy, i usually down half of it as soon as I'm done training or get up in the morning and leave it there while i shower dress etc to finish half an hour later
