A lightweight topic. Anybody see the hot shirtless runner in commercials for some painkiller (who pays attn to the brand when there's a hot guy in the ad). He is shirtless and ripped, runs through woods and a pond. Anybody know who he is?

May 01, 2007 2:47 AM GMT might have been Dean Karnazes...who has been plastered all over the place (Mens Fitness, Outside, etc.). He's often in Nike commericals or some running shoe commercials..

    He's the way...

    Whoa, Rusty is hot!!

On the other hand, I don't find Dean's body appealing in a purely physical way just because his extreme devotion to running leaves his upper body just looking super, super lean. I picked up a box of some cereal that had a shirtless picture of him on the back and it was shocking, like his upper body is made out of jerky. :)

Funny this topic came up. He is featured in a Mens Fitness article back in (don't laugh yer youngins) 1993. The article is about his transformation from a lardass (and he was a lardass, let me tell you) into this ripped awesome athlete.

That article really transformed the way I viewed how I wanted to look. I followed the routine he suggested rigorously for most of 1993 (when I was a tender 27) and REALLY transformed the way I looked. To cut a long story short, the gist of the workout is that you don't have to be HUGE to look good. It was about cutting into what you have - DEFINITION. I prb gained about 2 lbs that entire year, but at the end of 1993 I looked like I had put on 30lbs. Even the huge muscleheads in the gym were all over me about my "secret".

I've actually met him (and I can't remember his many men, so little memory) and he was a sweetheart...alas, STRAIGHT. but hey, he continues to motivate me and countless others.

If any of you want that workout, drop me an email and I'd be happy to share it with you.

He's also in a car commercial
    I don't know which one..
    but he's driving an SUV
and racing a girl on a motorcycle
and they trade rides and as they trade keys
the girl says..."Think you can handle it?"
    ..and Rusty says..."Can you?"
