    What if China invades USA?
For once it was Russia but nowadays China is a big thread for America...
This may be a great movie project for Roland Emmerich who loves to destroy Americaicon_smile.gif

I don't think China will invade America. We do too much business with them. I don't think any country is going to invade American soil. Isolated terrorist plots linked to a specific religious agenda will happen, but that won't have anything to do with any specific country's main foreign objective.

This is until 2075, when Mexico will invade the US, having most of the US being Hispanic by then. So in essence, Mexico will simply annex the US, and the few bitter white people will be left in nursery homes somewhere in North Dakota.

China already invaded the US through business. They own us as a people.

your a little late.. by.. what.. approximately a decade, little more..

Invasion isn't done via military anymore, thats old, antiquated and costs to much for no return and trying to invade a first world country would mean going to war with Europe, Australia, Japan would probably enjoy lobbing a few things into China (rivalry there is still kinda high even if not apparent).

Economic invasion is how america is being flattened and is, yes America is still in a strong position militarily, economically though, not any more.

Mind you, if Europe could get it's act together as a group.. well.. thats just not gonna happen so no use speculating .

    lol seriously?

We make them WAY too much money for that to ever happen.

We're a consuming nation, why would any producer wanna hurt us? We put there children through college and dont bother to complicate their nation with questions about unions and workers rights.

Trust me, thats not a concern at the moment.

For a moment, I was almost hopeful for a meaningful discussion about the future place for China on the world stage. Looks like we ain't gonna see that...

BTW, before you even start, Singapore is not part of China, and never has been. We are 2000 miles from China for heaven's sake!

No China needs America. Part of the reason why China is where they are is because of America.

the hilarious disconnect i find in america - is the paranoia some people have concerning calling some of the president's policies socialistic or communistic.

these are the same people who apparently have never taken a look at their latest gadget to see where it has been manufactured.

Our economy is financed through borrowing from the Chinese. I don't think they would militarily invade the US and risk not getting paid back.

They can bring us to our knees by messing with world monetary policies, although they might screw themselves too in the process.

And BTW, when I go to Fung Chow and ask for no MSG, do they put it in anyway?

If China stops trading in US dollars and takes out all of their investments(740 billion dollars in Treasury bonds alone, according to the government), the US economy woud collapse so fast you wouldn't even be able to blink.

Yeah, that's why China has been floating the idea of using the SDR as a sort of reserve currency. Besides that, China is diversifying its reserve holdings out of the greenback. The exodus is not immediate, but will be a gradual outflow. Wonder how this will impact the US...

So, I'm Australian but in the last week China has had a good hard go at invading Australia.
    - Chinese government convinced the University of Tasmania not to grant a degree to the Dalai Lama under threat of Chinese student loss
    - Chinese government threatened the National Press Club to stop the Uighur leader Rebiya Kadeer from speaking
    - Chinese government threatened the Melbourne International Film Festival over its film about Rebiya Kadeer
    - All Chinese films were withdrawn from the festival
    - Chinese hackers carried out a sustained Denial of Service assault on the Festival's website.

These examples are the real invasion where China uses its power to destroy free speech in a democratic soverign nation.

It's up to the Chinese if they're happy with a small subset of human rights, but when they try to force that subset on the civilized world, we need to be worried.
