Noticing your gains

    I was just wondering where you all first noticed your hard work in the gym. For me, I first saw it in my sholders. I saw the striations comming through and they were looking more 'cannon ball' like. Later, I noticed that my arms were getting thicker and more solid. My legs have always been big due to all the excess weight I've carried around all my life, but I've really noticed my hammys comming out. My chest still needs to respond, but I'm working on it.

    My biceps...first thing I noticed was me tearing a whole bunch of stretch marks all along them

    . . . I didn't notice any particular area . . . as time went on and I continued going ot the gym, a few people began referring to me as muscular (!?), and more than once I wanted to turn around and see the muscular guy who surely must have been standing behind me . . . so, those comments were a revelation to me, and I think I started looking at myself in the mirror and noticing that, sure enough, I actually have shoulders, a chest, etc., now . . . it's been a bit of a mind bender, but overall it's a hoot . . .

    for me it was my upper back between my shoulder blades....I had an itch...and reached back to scratch it...and went, "...what the hell is those bumps? " it took me a moment or two to realize, that they where indeed muscles that I had no idea I had@
