You have the right to assemble regardless of what district you are from. ACORN socailits are alllowed at meetings without id?!!! That is NOT fair!

This is looking more like a socialistic country to me! Where is our freedom of speech! I am happy more and more people are protesting by the millions! We need to defend our freedom, is that not why we fought a revolution hundreds of years ago?

People clamor for more freedom of speech at these meetings when they should've exercised their freedom of thought before attending.

LOL. Interesting how heavily funded misinformation campaigns by rich corporations can sway folks who are weak-minded, and ignorant.

Dude. Please cite your sources. And Fox News doesn't count. Neither does Catholic America News.

The assumption that Dems are liberals is a nasty one.

I will never understand why some people have their dick in such a tight knot over healthcare reform.

I have had health insurance for a total of 4 years of the past ten. That's ridiculous. Why the fuck do I pay taxes? Even as a full-time teacher, I was considered a "long-term-sub" for a few years, so the school didn't have to pay for my insurance. And I got paid beans... and lived in new jersey-- so there was no hope of affording insurance on top of my bills.

Of course I got Lyme disease while uninsured. I'm still paying the bills.

There was an episode of Real Time of Bill Maher I was watching. Just tonight actually and it had Dana Gould going to a town hall meeting with the usual

    "OBAMA IS HITLER!!!"

crowd and then he went to a Remote Area Medical gathering where people were waiting some over six hours for a chance to be seen by a doctor.

RAM used to be only in Third World countries, like Guyana and Haiti. Now it's in America.

He noted that those without health care were eerily optimistic about things while those with health care were throwing the hissy fit about National Socialism and Communism and Obama.

Thanks to whoever pointed out that Bush had completely stacked, hand-picked crowds. In his PRESIDENTIAL RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN, no less! At least Obama lets the dissenters in, and will engage them. The right always whines and plays dirty tricks; but the left's problem is that they always think if they just tell people the truth, they'll understand.

it's one thing to go to a meeting and have an open discussion. it's another to go to a meeting and bring up an issue that has nothing to do with the agenda, or to interrupt with inaccurate data.

if you want to start asking questions about the revolution and what we fought for, you should do some studying first? did we fight for a government that plays world police and bully? did we fight for a government that bullies its own states and people? i would say no.

you know, england is socialist, and so is france. they have no curbs on freedom of speech. the netherlands, findland, and switzerland are the same. socialism has nothing to do with the evils of the world, it has to do with the government taking an active role in how the economy works. or we could just try a free reign capitalist society like we had in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, those were awesome years.

As a Republican I am appalled by this post! First it is a blatant falsehood. Second I fail to see the point of the post. I am tired of the ignorant racist wing of my party having the only voice at the moment. flexonyou if you actually believe what you wrote than I suggest you actually source your material. Your actions here prove that you are not a conservative. No sir in my opinion you are just an uneducated attention seeking whore.

One, I doubt you know what the word "socialist" means considering you misspelled it, and the fact that you somehow believe freedom of speech goes against socialism. Socialism is a mode of government dealing with how the government collects and allocates taxes; it does not bar freedom of speech. The two are mutually exclusive.

One of the smaller, non televised healthcare debates was held in Charlotte recently and being unemployed at the moment, I went. Yep, I got heated for about 5 seconds when I went to the mic, turned to audience of shouters and asked everyone to raise his or her hand if they had actually taken the time to actually READ the 1000 page bill. I have. Only one other person did and he was sitting 3 seats from me. He passed me a note later saying he was about to ask the same thing. Of course, there was a sea of boos directed my way, but for once, I felt powerful, as an independent, to incite such anger as if I was calling them all stupid. No, not stupid. Just very heavily uninformed.

Oh the hypocrisy of it all

Let's take a little trip back just a year or two to the GW Era shall we?
Do you remember the freedom zones?
Do you remember people hand picked to attend public events?
People escorted out if they had any signs tee shirts or were rumored to be anything but loyal republicans?

No you don't do you....... How's that Black Kettle doin for ya?

Oh dear, OP. If only the kool-aide you and your kind are drinking was indeed authentic Jonestown Brand kool-aide, the world would be a much happier place.
