So my parents offered me to come back home and live with them. The only problem is that I've never been to Texas before so I'm a little scared. I worry that there is not a big gay community as there is in new york. The pros are that i don't have to pay rent, food, and they will help me pay for school. The cons are that I have to give up New York, pay for bills, rent, and they won't help me pay for school in NYC. I am so confused; what should I do? any suggestions?

Free rent. Free food. Help with school bills. That sounds like a winner to me.

It doesn't have to be permanent. You can live with your parents for a while, take some general classes that are transferable, save up your money, get ahead. And when the time is right, you'll have the option to move back to NYC to finish up school.

But you should follow TheGuyNextDoor's advice. Take a tour and see what Texas has to offer. Every major city has some sort of gay community.
