It's getting time to update my iPod with new music. So, I'm looking for music recommendations for all of life's adventures, not just for working out. What artists/albums/songs do you think no play list should be without?

OMG, I recently re-discovered The Cardigans. I think their album Long Before Daylight is my favorite album that I've downloaded this year, even though it came out in 2003.

Grey's Anatomy used their used their song Live And Learn:

Alanis Morrissette - Flavors of Entanglement.

If you want one CD that covers the full range of the human experience, I can't think of a better one.

I will agree with above posters... Cardigans. ROYKSOPP is AMAZING-- "someone like me" is my favorite by them:

    Rufus Wainwright.
    Everything Radiohead has ever released...
Joni Mitchell- "blue" is my favorite album
God, I have a thousand albums in my iPod, where do I start?

Some People Have Real Problems by Sia.

    Silent Alarm by Bloc Party.

    Multiply by Jamie Lidell.

    Oracular Spectacular by MGMT.

    Loose by Nelly Furtado.

    Ruby Blue by Roisin Murphy.

    Kala by M.I.A.

    Version by Mark Ronson.

Under the Blacklight by Rilo Kiley.

There's one billion more to consider, that's just a sampling.
