I attended my 40th HS reunion last night. O.M.F.G.!!!!

All of the men were fat except for one ectomorph and me. Some just had modest guts, but some were ginormous!!! None was in shape.

My good friend from Latin class, who is actually a year younger than I am, has a sizable gut and bloated face. He was suitably impressed by my physique (equal to my PT's now)....in my stylish T-shirt with a touch of lycra ... icon_wink.gif I think I have inspired him to think seriously about getting into shape. We had several conversations about it over the weekend. We'll see.

Depends on when you consider "before cancer." I was misdiagnosed for 2 years before they figured out it was cancer. During that time, I was very tired and I gained a lot of weight. And then during the therapy, only chocolate eclairs got thru the chemicals to give me any sensation of pleasure. That didnt help.

I worked at my job during my therapy....I didnt take disability time off. The drugs and depression didnt make me a prime candidate for running off to the gym and being a little gym bunny working out all the time, if that is what you are trying to get at. I had to hire a PT just to get me thru the work outs that I was able to do.

Prior to all this mess, yes, I did work out. I have pics in my profile showing me pre-cancer....check out the one in the red t-shirt for an idea. Here, I will make it my main pic to help you out.

Just curious. Are they still putting that drip in your brain?

Indeed, I dont think there was another gay guy at the reunion. I dont think there were very many gays in our class. At least, we didnt know each other back then.

    Caslon,

Glad to see you have inspired someone to get in shape. I hope your classmate keeps in touch. Great friendships are hard to come by, and this will be a great bonding experience. Let us know how your friend is doing should he keep in contact with you.

My 10-year reunion is coming up in the fall and I'm still as skinny as ever. But since I just started eating more and working out, I hope to hold my head up a little higher for the 20-year reunion.

Congratulations to both you and muchmorethanmuscle for beating cancer.

You think I spent the last three years lavishing my time on working out? You think the cancer therapy didnt keep me on my ass in this chair? You think 12,000 posts came from my being hale and hearty, and up and running around? You think the blocking of testosterone and severe depression didnt have any physical affects on me? Have you been paying any attention at all?

Even if we had different cancers, I would have thought that you would be able to comprehend that therapy is no picnic.

And I am really very sweet...to sweet people that is.

I think they withdrew more than fluid from your cranium and need to put something back to smarten you up. Look at my pic, dipshit!

Here I made this just for you...

Hottness is subjective. I was told that I was the youngest looking. And I can say myself that I was in the best shape....even after cancer therapy.

Hotness IS subjective. But I wasn't asking for an honest or humble answer. Although I'm pretty sure at your age you can clearly see decades worth of who has taken care of their bodies and who has been wasting their life away on the couch. So hotness is less subjective the older you get. icon_cool.gif

Anyway, back to the cancer vs cancer match. *popcorn in mouth*

Well, I was youngest looking and everybody commented on what good shape I was in....does that qualify me as hottest?

They were then especially impressed after learning that I had just come thru cancer therapy....and nobody pooh-poohed that compared to raising families, btw.

Yep, nobody said, "oh well I just raised a family over the past 40 years or I would be in your shape. If I only had cancer, I would be in great shape, too. But I had a family." Nope, nobody said that.

Indeed they were. In fact, our former class president said I made her visit to this reunion.

    Sorry to disappoint you, Hillie-billie.

    My 30th is next summer.
I went to my 20th, 9 years ago, and vowed after seeing the dozen or so jocks I lusted after in HS, how fat and out of shape they were, to show them all that the coming 30th and being 48 then, I would blow them all away!!! (no pun intended) For the last 10 months I have had a private personal trainer, an ex-competitive bodybulider now trainer/nutritionist, in the business for almost 30 years, whipping my yo-yo routines into shape. I know I am not as big as some of you guys, yet, but I have seen better results in the last year, than in the 20 or so I have struggled to do on my own. My trainer says I can easily top out at around 225 by next August, which is about 20 pounds more than I am now....
I'll show those bastards! (High School was NOT a pleasant experience for me...) - Todd

Caslon, I was thinking of wearing the same kind of shirt.... thanks for solidifying that wardrobe decision!

^ My 10 year is next year. I'm going to scream at everyone that used to make fun of me, throw fists of mash-potatoes at everyone's faces, film it, then post it on youtube.

I know what it's like to have cancer. I know what it's like to have two cancers. Trust me, the damage done to my body far exceeds what you've gone through. But it's not a contest. That's not what I'm implying. But I don't go around judging others for whatever I delude myself into thinking they lack because I have more time on my hands to achieve (e.g. working on my fitness).

And I don't think you're sweet. You're a bit of a bitch. You're sketchy and controlling. You're only sweet when everyone agrees with you or if you feel like you're in control and you take these forums way too seriously.

I remember the times you messaged me in the past to remove a post so that way you could post directly below someone so that way your posts are perfectly synchronized and all is pretty. And then after you had it your way I could put my post back. I didn't mind nor did I care but when you think about it, you need a life. I bet the people at the 40th year reunion would critique you in a much harsher way for such petty childishness.

Well, if you feel like that then why did you post?

Did you miss your meds today?

Maybe it was a theme night.

But usually, it's the women who go to these reunions to be all snarky and bitchy about how everyone looks and how they have gotten old and ugly, not the men.

My 20 year is in 2 years and I can't wait to see all my friends. I could give a shit what they look like, HS was good times.

Hym...I guess a part of me thought you had the capacity to understand a much larger point of view if someone like me pointed that out to you. But, my fault. It's apparent you don't have that capacity. It's Caslon's world.

Don't worry, I'll save myself any future attempts by blocking you now. I think I've seen enough LOL cats to last me several lifetimes. By the way, "dipshit"....that made me laugh. I haven't heard that one since....1986.

Well, thank god no more of his idiocy. Any of the rest of you want to block me so I dont have to have your stupid replies?...anyone? ... please.
