You know when you're working out you may have a blah day, or you just don't think you can do that next rep or finish your set?
Well, what song can you immediately put on that just seems to give you that extra energy boost and the will to power through?

    The Superman Main Title Theme.
I don't know what it is but when I hear it I can get through a grueling exercise or effortlessly knock out a final set.

I mostly listen to my ghetto music (can't he helped, I lived here too long in Oakland) but one song gets me moving to push it through. It's electronic but I do enjoy it for at least it has lyrics, not some where it's just repeatative beats.

Then again, Fanny Pak made it more enjoyable icon_biggrin.gif

This is very odd but it is Sade "Hang on to Your Love".

This is odd first and foremost because Sade is hardly known for hardcore workout songs. But, there is a line in the song that states,

"Be brave when the journey is rough,
Its not easy when youre in love.
Dont be ashamed when the going gets tough
    Its not easy,
    Dont give up.

If want it to get stronger youd better not let go.
You got to hold on longer if you want you love to grow."

Now although this song is primarily about love it deals with the theme of persitence and perserverence, which I translate to the my lfting routine. The line in the song "If want it to get stronger youd better not let go.
You got to hold on longer if you want you love to grow." always gives me a boost if I hear it towards the end of my set. Also a winner is "Can't Stop" by The Red Hot Chilli Peppers".

Tiƫsto feat. Kirsty Hawkshaw - "Just Be", particularly the following verse:

They say learning to love yourself
    Is the first step
That you take when you want to be real
Flying on planes to exotic locations
    Won't teach you
    How you really feel
    Face up to the fact
That you are who you are
    Nothing can change that belief

    ...Gets me every time. icon_smile.gif
