Is there a really good Gay Travel website, like Trip Advisor?

I have yet to come across a gay equivalent of Trip advisor, where you can search for accommodation, restaurants, bars, clubs, saunas and everything else for our lot!!

Really, all I'm thinking of is an electronic version of spartacus (which is excellent by the way) with the addition of forums and reviews...

Does one exist, if so, please let me know!!! If not, any offers to help start one up would be cool icon_smile.gif

    Thanks,
    Ste

I've yet to find anything really useful aimed at gay travellers--there are some available for certain cities, or regional ones (www.gaymap.info is quite good for Europe), but nothing like you describe. The problem with the city-specific independent ones is often accuracy of information, since especially places like bars & clubs can come & go so quickly. I'd love to find what you're describing!

I'm a Trip Advisor member, under the user name Sauna-nut (link at RJ profile), and I believe there is a new feature on that website which caters for gays. Click at the "Search" box and type in "Gay" and see if it comes up with anything.

On a related note, I was curious about one of their commercials that has a guy with a Human Rights Campaign logo on his shirt. I wondered if it was deliberate placement by the company or the actor.

    www.gaygetter.com

This site is just starting out but is already pretty good. I've emailed Debbie in their office a few times to update listings for my own city, and have started writing reviews. She's great and thankful for any of the help she gets in correcting listings.

Check it out, like any publicly-edited site it's only as good as its members!
