Sadly, there are lots of people out there who will believe this. You know, the same ones griping at the town halls. I bet even Palin would run with that.

Actually most of the people at the town halls, are Independents who made the election, as well as Democrats, and Liberals. They aren't all Republicans, or Conservative. My buddy and I went to a few of em, to check em out, with all we were seeing on the news, and I crack the hell up every time someone thinks all of those people who are angry are a bunch of crazy right wingers.

These very same people who are at those Town Hall meetings, are also people who were angry at Bush too, and felt they weren't being listened to, when they'd call, or write. Their anger has grown even more so now, because they feel once again nobody is listening to them, or doing what they should be doing.

    What?

The people who are comparing the president to Adolof Hitler are the same people who were mad at Bush?

The health care thing has become so insane because of the angry brainless mobs -- which ARE out there, I'm sorry: There's more than enough evidence to support that. As a frustrated senator recently put it, you might as well argue with a bath tub as soon as with some nutcase who shows up screaming about an issue he knows absolutely nothing about, or carries a sign comparing a moderately liberal president to a rightwing war criminal (i.e., Hitler, not Bush, although the case can be made for both). Yes, perhaps these loonies aren't being listened to -- but that's a good thing.

The sad reality, however, is that these nutcases ARE being listened to and given a platform by a sensationalistic media that would rather put the insane minority on display than report the simple fact that a supermajority of Americans support universal healthcare and the public option.

I don't think they are being listened to any more than people listened to the nut cases who insisted that Bush was behind 9/11, Katrina, and every other calamity known to man.
