That's nice and all, but more importantly, lilZ, why did you steal lilTanker's nickname for me as your new screenname, huh? I texted you a cease-and-desist order when I was on the freeway the other day. Or at least I think I did...when I spilled my coffee on the phone trying to make a turn with my knees, I mighta accidentally deleted the message.

But seriously, I think it's ridiculous that some states that ban talking on cell phones don't actually have any legislation against texting on them.

    Yea, it is pretty ridiculous.

As for my name, I've had the "lil" nickname since I was in middle school. Before tank was was liltanker, I was lilmaninsc, lilmann, and now lilZ. I'm just not as wanted as the hot aussi. MUAH Mr. Michels.

Oh, and the text must have gotten deleted, I never got it icon_razz.gif

    I thought the same thing!

That was really well done actually. The lead actress was really good.

Everyone should watch this video. I've been in an accident due to texting and driving. Thankfully, I just hit an island and took out a curb, a sign, and blew four tires in my truck and ruined 2 wheels, and did about $5,000 worth of damage to the underbelly of my truck and the suspension. I didn't hit another person, thank God, but I could have. It's really an epidemic. Texting and driving is probably as dangerous, if not more so, than drinking and driving. It only takes a split second of not paying attention to cause something really serious to happen that could change your life forever, or worse, end it. I was lucky.

I agree - terrible. I tried to text while driving and ended up in the opposite lane without even realizing. Thankfully no one was around me. I immediately threw the phone in the passenger seat and told myself, nothing is THAT important.

sxydrkhair said Why wasn’t the girl in the back wearing her seat belt?

I think that was intentional. It may be a problem in Britain, but it's an even bigger one here in the US. Seatbelts save lives, but some people don't realize that...

People respond to videos like this instantly. Which is why we no longer have drunk drivers, smokers, or drug users.

I found more parts to it, it's really a 30 minute short movie about road safety and the devastation that the crash brings about to her and her family. It's called 'COW' and said to premiere in November.

These are some other teasers to it.

Still a very scary realistic view of what happens.

Can we say VOICE TO TEXT??? C'mon Yap, let's get on with it, and bring it out.

None of that horrible mess...VERY Final Destination btw (best car wreck on film to this day)...anyway, would have happened if this poor girl would have had Yap voice to text...they would have killed themselves later that night after leaving a kegger party drunk, and in much the same fashion.

Oh, and I heard from her brother that the SMS did actually go through.

I dislike cellphones. I only use mine when absolutely necessary. And I'm Asian, I don't drive. So there! icon_lol.gif

All three cars involved in the crash were Ford's. That's just the image the city of Detroit is needing right now.

This PSA was done in the U.K. Texting and driving is more dangerous than driving drunk.

If you text and drive, ponder how you'd feel if you killed someone.

There's another forum topic here that shows the tests on driving and texting.

    At best, it's highly irresponsible.
