Shocked that a profile with rather built dude was asking for my pics, I stumbled into the realm of what must be fake profiles. I've heard you guys reference them, but it's funnier to find one that is obviously bad. The dude looked way different from picture to picture.

Anyways, I got this funny image in my head of guys with fake profiles built from photos around the web messaging each other for access to private photos that were just more photos from the web. So, instead of a just doing sexy photo search in google, you turn it into an hours/days long process. A way more ellaborate number of clicks involved in the later.

I think he's saying that the fakers are faking each other, and they don't realize it.

For instance, a guy with a fake profile/pics is contacted by another fake profile. They exchange each other's fake pics. Then they use those pics to create fake profiles on other sites. Continuous cycle.

I remember reading a previous thread where a guy was contacted by a fake profile. The faker opened up his private pics. And the faker's pics were of that guy's friend or roommate or something. icon_lol.gif

My first contact from this site was a guy who turned out to be a fake.

I was so naive. We conversed online and on the phone over the course of 2 months. When I figured it out I was so pissed off.

This is why I really only bother talking with verified people on this thing.

Fess up to who you are! It can't be THAT bad! icon_biggrin.gif

Cam seems the best way. I've run into two "verified" fakes.

I've run into so many fake verified in chat, I rarely go anymore, but since I have turned off the IM's, I may go back.

Verified means taking a picture of yourself, holding a hand written sign that say s RealJock123 that clearly shows your face and matches up to another face picture in your profile.

It's amusing when you call the fakers out and they get angry and defensive. lol

Nothing like harpooning the intent of the big fat hairy whales that surf the net while posing a some cute twink...

Hey guys, new to this site. Have not posted any pics just yet. Prolly will weekend. I actually came accross this site while trying to find out how to deal with fakers. I found a forum thread on here talking about it. My very first online experience with meeting someone resulted in a faker. I actually met this this guy who turned out to overweight and looked nothing like his photos.

Our meeting was awkward to say the least.. He never would admit being a faker either..saying that the it was the lighting in his photos...,,that and some major photo-"Chopping".

That's when you hand the faker a phone and say, "Hey, do me a favor. Call the guy whose pictures you sent, and ask him to come over and fuck me."

Several years ago I was sitting on the couch watching tv while my roomy at the time was on the computer. He starts laughing his ass off turns around and says. "Really, you're a 6'2", 9" uncut power top?" I was flattered that a troll was using my pics, well from the waist up anyway, made me a foot taller, corrected my smurf-like endowment and regrew my foreskin. When my roomy called him out on it, he blocked him and redid the profile with my stolen pics to portray an extremely racist pedophile complete with lots of racial slurs and disturbingly descriptive language. Gay.com was kind enough to delete it within a couple hours after I reported it. icon_lol.gif

Within ten years this will be a very interesting situation indeed. Already companies have developed search algorithms based on image data. Idée's "TinEye" is a good example that lets you upload your pictures and search to see where they are posted online. Although they don't yet have nearly as comprehensive a database of indexed web content as the major search engines, the concept is there, and it's only a matter of time until this method is combined with face recognition software at the consumer level.

The interesting thing is the possibility that the search company's archive of indexed pages will be preserved long enough that connections can be made between all the online presences you have ever had online. For example, suppose as an oversexed 20 year old college student with a throwaway job you don't care much about, you decide in 2007 to create a "looking for hookups" profile on RealJock with a bunch of all-but-nude pictures of yourself, and you troll the forums expressing disgust for "fat old guys at the gym" or "idiotic christian nutjobs" and so on. In 2014 when you're applying for a job in the auditing department with a financial services firm, they of course run a background check on you, which by that point includes matching biometric data against public records and Internet content. Up pops a picture of one of your youthful indiscretions along with a link to your archived RJ profile where you describe yourself as "a hard-bodied cumhound with a fetish for married men".

This is not at all a far-fetched scenario, and I think the day soon is coming when we are going to see a huge national outcry for much more extensive legislation specifying what exactly can and cannot be stored, indexed, searched, and considered in applying for jobs, college, mortgage lending, insurance, etc.

I've wondered about this same thing. What happens if they meet eachother for coffee? Hell what happens if one travels across the country to meet one another? How would they recognize eachother? I mean, you really can't get mad at someone for faking you out if you did the exact same thing to them.

I used to have a website back in the day that had some pictures of me in my 'skinny' days icon_confused.gif Well, one of my friends from california had been talking ot this guy, and when he asked for pictures, it turns out the guy had stolen some of mine. I don't know weather to be shocked or flattered that I was worthy of being faked icon_smile.gif

It's very simple to add a 'watermark' or your screen name across your pics.
Why don't we all ask RealJock to add the watermark themselves? I used to be on Jockbod.com and it added watermarks for you, BigMuscle.com won't let you save anyones pics posted to it.
Why can't RJ do this as a matter of convenience for those verified?
