"Man of the Day" -Is this simply about looks, or do these guys also have personalities?

It seems to me that these guys are always extraordinarly good looking- is this just about physical appearance? I think it's more about looks.icon_idea.gif

Well, is that so terrible? What else but looks and a superficial profile does anyone have to go by? Let the lovely guys win these things... I certainly like looking at them.

And until we have a "Scooter of the Day" I have no complaints about the guys who are selected. icon_biggrin.gif

I agree, I just know I vote for guys that I know are sweet and good-looking. I think they're the ones that deserve the votes. I just wanted to see who else agrees.

It can be just about looks. But some people do factor in the personality, basing it off of insightful and admirable posts.

If you don't like shallow beautiful men, leave now. I don't say that to be an ass, I say it to be kind because wait until you happen upon a thread posted by a fat guy who can't get a foothold and watch him get hosed by petty hateful queens. Wait until the biggest douche on the site is deified over and over again. Wait until you are personally attacked for stating an opinion, which will probably happen on this thread. Wait until a motor bike gets snippy with you.

I voted for the Pianist guy today. He only has one vote. Poor guy. I admire that he can play the piano so well. But as we know, he doesnt have pics with his dick straining in his speedos and muscles all over, so too bad

    http://www.realjock.com/Pianist

But our erudite RJ membership, who will gut you like a fish if you mention someone's physique, vote strictly on physique.

Let the Caslon-bashing begin in 3....2...

Lately the forum has been having a lot of control over who'll become the next MOD, many guys I truly admire had their chance to go on the main page for 24 hours...I too had my chance and it was good to know that guys that I seriously respect took their time to send me a message which in general was a very nice interaction.

Tomorrow will be MeOhMy(Andrew), who is actually a very cute guy but that doesnt imply he is just another dummy with cute eyes. He is very smart, he contributes a lot on the forum and overall he is a great person, so yes he's got my vote and many others as well, I do think he deserves it.

If I was ever MOD I failed to notice. I suspect there are quite a few other people on this site who feel the same way.

But GuiltyGear and Caslon, your comments do deserve some bashing. And I bash you both with my undying love. Have at you!

Caslon, I agree that Pianist has the smile to make MOTD, but given his continued use of a 1940s typewriter... I think he's better suited to Luddite of the Day.

I haven't followed it very closely, but I think it's real cute how people have organized things and determined who gets a turn.

It's a wasted function meant to help those who wanted to be voted prom queen, but never got the chance. It's always going to be based on looks or just the popularity of one with the clique that always takes over the forums. You know who you are. icon_wink.gif

Personally, I think this site is becoming too dramatic and the Man of the Day is just another nail in the flamboyant coffin. Guess I better start writing out my "Dannyboy is leaving!" post to get some attention on me, me, me! icon_rolleyes.gif
