Okay, so I am officially moving into the dorms for my junior year of college at a Cal State in the Bay Area. I will be living with three other guys in our dorm room and we all get separate sleeping quarters which is pretty sweet as well. I began to wonder what my dorm-mates are going to be like. Hopefully cool, and hott and bi-curious (at least a little). Hahaha....and then this got me thinking: Do any of you guys have any great stories about living the dorms with other guys??
Share any and all stories about living in the dorms or about crazy experiences while living there!!

Living in the dorms can be fun as hell. My first roommate was this really cute guy that wore light-blue boxers that were basically see-through. He transferred after first semester because he wanted to save money by staying with his folks. The second one was dreadful. He had sleep apnea.
Sophomore year, I moved in with a guy, who is my best friend, and two other guys in a suite. It was the best. It was the most homoerotic year. We dry-humped each other, felt on each other' s asses, and one of my friends took a crap while watching his roommate shower in a clear shower. It was great.
Also, there were some really hot guys in the dorms. They would walk around with their towels barely covering anything. The guy who lived two doors down my freshman year was hot as shit. I saw him naked like three or four times. He would keep the door opened while he got dressed.
Another guy my junior year, who I thought was really cute, would walk around in boxers with his dick hanging out and pretend like he didn't know that it was out.
Awww, the joys of living with straight guys.

I only lived in the dorms for one year. I was nervous because I did not meet my roommate till the day we moved in.
He was a really cute baseball player, and we hit it off really well as friends. First week we realized we had so many of the same things, from our razor and shaving cream to printer. haha.
Anyway, we were so much alike and never argued and we got along extremely well and ended up joining a fraternity together. After that the rest of the year we became so close we ended our phone conversations with, "I love you" "I Love you too" hahaa! We really helped each other through school that year it was a rough two semesters for both of us! When we moved out and I transferred to another school, we stood in the parking lot together and hugged and cried. I know sounds so gay LOL but we'd finally go to our car and one of us would be like.. WAIT! One more hug!! I was moving across the country and we werent sure when we'd see each other again!
Needless to say it's strongest bond in friendship I've ever built and we now introduce each other as brothers.
But my dorm experience is something that I absolutely miss, because I'm extremely social and I talked to EVERYONE in the entire building! hehe.

Oh dorm life, how crazy you are. I never had any really attractive roommates, they were all totally hetero. But it's all good. My freshman year was capped by a friend of mine jumping out of a second story window. I forget why now, all I remember is that he was running like hell, ran into his room, vaulted onto his desk and right out the window. Sophomore year my first roommate was a total douche, and the semester was capped with the occasion where my recovery from mono and frantic attempts at studying were interrupted by a visit from campus security and local police officers. They were there to search the room for illegal drugs, and boy did they find some (it probably helped that I was pointing out his hiding spots). Second semester sophomore year was spent in the German language suite, where we essentially drank every night. It was pretty awesome. My roommate was a genuinely nice guy who was one of the first people I came out to. He was really accepting and cool with everything about it. Junior year was spent in a double single, as my roommate dropped out a month in. Senior year I lived off campus with 4 girls, a life that was ok, but would never want to do it again. My 5th year (since I transferred schools) I lived by myself.

I lived in international dorms last year, it was pretty cool I had a pretty cool Asian frat guy (who had some homophobic friends that embarrassed themselves) , A little tiny timid Filipino dude both straight and one gay Mexican dude who moved his boyfriend in and turned out to be a complete slob and left the dorm a dive at the end of the year that i had to clean up. I also shared a wall with this weird guy that was obsessionally christian more than I've ever seen yet also the biggest gay slut on campus...He was always banging on my walls to get me to turn down the devil music and what not....I always turned it up to drown out the noise of him getting laid

I don't know about college dorming. But highschool dorming is hell. Everyone's so self concious about their bodies. I wasn't (just being who I am. I'm never self concious) but when you come out things start to get a little wierd. Guys sort of avoid you when your in a towel. But on I heard more than once that there was gay stuff going on. Guess I wasn't invited cause they didn't want to admit they were gay? Yeesh. Which I don't care because quite frankly they aren't attractive anyways. But it could be a lot worse. I know a lot of situations where if I gay guys out and in the shower people beat the shit out of him. College is a lot better I think? I hope. We'll see soon enough. Anyways, wish you the best of luck! Just be careful of "straight boys" you know the boys that want you at night but during the day your just friends? Yuck.

omg, i hate freshman dorms so much. i had the most miserable experience freshman year- since them i've mostly lived in the upper-classmen dorms, which have private single rooms in suite style groupings, and everything is new and much nicer (and quieter- fewer false fire alarms pulled in the middle of the night lol)- can't do apartments cause they require a year long lease and i have to coop every other quarter so i can't be bound by that. but freshman dorms.... (shudders)
so my freshman year, i was put in a quad- one room, a 3/4 height partition wall, and 4 lofted beds. standard cinderblock walls, linoleum floor, and drafty windows that don't really open- all courtesy of the 60's. my three roommates were straight and ugly, and had ZERO sense of hygiene; they didn't change their bedding once all year that I ever saw, except when going home at the end of each quarter briefly, and they themselves always smelled bad. they threw huge parties in our tiny room several times a week, for which i'd try to be away, and would pack like 30 people in the closet of a room- so it'd get trashed, and then they'd never clean up.
SERIOUSLY, they didn't do one thing to clean the room all year.
and i wasn't gonna clean up their messes like a maid- i cleaned my own area and my own messes, and frequently asked them to clean theirs- but they said they didn't mind the mess so if i had a problem with it it was my duty.
so we had dustbunnies the size of your head. the floor was sticky with spilt alcohol. it then got velveted with dust. someone had lit paper on fire and melted it into the linoleum at some point. another had puked in the middle of the floor.... and my roomates only put a newspaper over it- so i had to learn to leap barefoot over the dried pile every night to get to the bathroom (don't even get me started on the horrors of a floor bathroom). some drunkass jeggermeistered our water purifier, and some clepto drunk chick kept stealing my stuff and not remembering where she put it- i lost a versace tshirt, a bunch of abercrombie shirts, a gold pendant, and a boot- yes, a single and very expensive boot. and those are just the things i remember missing. oh and they built this 'fort' between two of their beds with black sheets and christmas lights, and would hook up with ugly girls or just play loud video games in it until the early morning while i had to sleep for my exams or project critiques. oh- haha- just remembered this- they had a george foreman grill and plates that they used once, got realllll nice and greasy, then left on the counter for months. i kept asking them to clean it and they never did. so when the mold fuzz was about an inch thick on all of it, i threw the whole mess away. haha they were like... 'duuude, where's the grill??' i just gave them an innocent stare. and then there were the temperature wars. one of them was from florida and was always cold, even when the room was sweltering, which was often.
perhaps the worst part of the whole year was just having to jack off in the showers, due to no privacy in the room.
worst experience of my life- glad i endured it so i can brag about it, but seriously. seriously? there were even cockroaches. the school really turns a blind eye to the freshman dorms.

I lived in the Residence Halls for 3 out of my 4 years. Was in First-Year halls all 3 years (was an RA for my soph and junior years). Freshman year was definitely the most fun, had a great roommate who was a friend but we were not BFFs so it was really nice. Sophomore year I had a roommate who would clear his throat and collect his phlegm in a big glass jar he kept on his desk.

I lived with 3 guys my junior and senior year (2 were hot). Unfortunately, my room was closest to the not-so-hot one. They all knew each other beforehand, so I was the new one and it was pretty awful.
One had a psycho gf who stayed with us 5 out of 7 days a week and would get into fights with her every night. They would fight in his room but it was so loud I could clearly hear everything from the living room.
Another one decided to post tacky ABSOLUT posters all over the living room and kitchen.
And they ALL (including the gf) were obsessed with Friends. They had the entire Friends series on DVD, would invite a bunch of people over to play the Friends board game, and would not stop talking (sometimes screaming) about Friends.

My 1st few years of school I had to live in student halls. I have never lived with more disgusting people in my life. I was thinking about one of my ex roommates just yesterday; this guy was from India but very westernized, he was so used having servants that he would talk to me like one. Our kitchen was a bio-hazard to the point that I kept my food in a girl-friend's flat upstairs from mine. This guy was so used to people cleaning up after him that he had no clue how to do it himself. I had to bring the school in to see how bad the kitchen was. Truly vile. Life got much better once I moved out -EWW! It makes me wonder, how do these people function?

We didn't even have separate sleeping areas. Our beds were like 3 ft apart from each other. Oh yeah another thing that we did that was cool was our closet. We shared a closet with our own sides but we ended up just consolidating everything and doubled our wardrobe! haha! That actually ended up working out really well for us.

Wow, so far....some of these stories are more like nightmares!! Im nervous that I may end up having such an experience, but I am gonna hope that this doesnt happen to me even though its very possible. My room im staying in is suite....with 4 separate bedrooms and a single living room. But it seems like the more sexual things tend to happen in the shared rooms.

The nearest to what I would call dorm life was in 1994 while a vollie at a Christian Conference Center on the outskirts of Haifa, in Israel. Here I shared a two bed dorm in the vollie's building with a stuck-up English churchgoer, named Richard, an undergraduate who was studying to be a Sports Physiotherapist. He was very class-conscious and he gave the impression that I was beneath him by acting rather churlishly when trying to communicate with him. He was nationalistic, a Royalist who found my more liberal attitude to the British monarchy rather offensive, and was VERY homophobic. After a few weeks sharing the dorm, he had me thrown out of the very room I had to myself for a month before he even arrived, and I had to occupy a spare room in the center itself. It was people just like Richard - a church-going Christian with homophobic, nationalistic, patriotic, class-conscious attitudes which brought me to the brink of my own faith being totally destroyed, and on the ace of becoming an atheist. Fortunately, the seedlings of my faith began to sprout while staying at a small backpackers hostel occupied by down-to-earth travelers in the heart of Jerusalem Old City. They were not believers of the Christian faith, but at least THEY treated me as human, equal to themselves.

I moved out of the dorms my freshmen year after three days, my dorm was infested with huge roaches. I opted for off campus college apartments with 4 random roommates. None we hot, one was gay but a disgusting pig. So I never really lived the dorm life. Now I lease an apartment with my good friend.

I think i was one of the lucky ones, but there are quite a few people I know who met as roommates several years back and are still really good friends. However, I did occasionally hear about people not getting a long and just moving into another room. And that was it. But most got a long, some got on really well and become best friends and some just get a long and forget about each other once they move out. I think dorm life is great! I completely miss hanging out with people in the lounge areas and just getting to know everyone. We'd stay up all night some nights and study and talk all night with different occupants of our building. It was fun! Its funny to see people coming in late at night crawling back to their room completely wasted!

Dorm life can be fun or horrible. I've always had great experiences. With the exception of one semester I've always had random roommates. I'm still friends with 7 out of 8, and very close with 2 of them. Although some were attractive I was never turned on by them. I knew better than to shit where I eat. But like some of the others say... there's plenty of sex in the dorms. Guys walk around shirtless, in towels, in boxers (never briefs...sigh). But don't think they play around like in the movies... most guys aren't secure enough or comfortable around strangers to do that. Of course, all bets are off once they get a few beers in em. Hook up central after 2 AM when the bars close. The closet-cases, bi-curious, 3-beer-queers are all antsy after they strike out w/ chicks (big surprise) at the clubs. They say they haven't done it before... cut 5 minutes later they're inhaling your junk and offering their (shaved) ass to be fucked lol You're lucky with the separate sections. I can't count the times I've had to skirt around his or my roommate's schedule Sex aside though, living in the dorms is a great way to network and meet people from so many different backgrounds. I have friends for life and beer buddies around the country/world when I travel.

Wow, great replies! Thank you guys for posting so many stories and experiences, i loved reading all of them. I start Sept. 20th, so im excited to see how my dorm-life is going to turn out. Hopefully good and none bad. Im pretty sure no cockroaches will be there because our building is brand new, and i live in a suite, which is a little more expensive. That being the case, im pretty sure that, those with more money, will be a little more respectful of our room and not turn it into a pig-stye. Im hoping for bi-curious, open guys that are super hott and walk around naked! hahaha....but thats just me. Doesn't hurt to aim high. lol
Does anyone have any other stories to share?? Id love to read more of them....

I lived with 2 guys my freshman year. One became a very good friend and still is to this day. The other was a bassoon major and I still hate him to this day. Neither were gay, and I never had a gay roommate in the dorms.
But, I went to the Gayest College in America so homo-fun was always only a few doors down the hall.
Later, I became an RA and that was even more fun because you had authority and the underclassman boys loved that.

Okay, so i moved in two days ago and i have to admit the dorm itself and my room are simply divine. I have my own bedroom that overlooks the quad in the middle of the dorms, a nice patch of grass and trees where most of the student traffic occurs along with parties and such. So its a great view!
As for the roommates, one is a very big guy who doesnt seem to care about anyone but himself. Ive been living here for the past 3 days and he has said hi to my once. The second guy is a bit of a nerd and hes very cool, chill and nice. The third is super cute, seems like a jock and lives down the hallway for me....sux! haha. The past few days there has yet to be any interaction besides me and the big guy....so im hoping that i can hang out with the other two once school starts tomorrow.
Seems that everyone is getting to know their roomies and I have yet to interact with mine, cuz either they arent staying here yet or they keep to themselves like big boy does. RUDE!!

Welcome to the lovely dynamics of roommate situations. I was thrust into some awkward living arrangements when I was a student at UCLA. Some people you'll click with and others you won't, no matter how much you try. This is a whole new way of relating for a lot of you, especially if you're all Freshmen. There isn't really a manual for it and no one can really prepare you for all the variables. You really learn how to relate to people in ways you've never had to before. (Like super-clean people living with people who don't care about their messes.)
Sounds like you're a friendly guy. Keep trying to connect with your roommates. Hopefully you'll get some friendships going there, if not sounds like you're also making friends of your neighbors. Sounds like you're doing all the smart and healthy things.

I only did the dorm thing for 3 semesters and only the 2nd semester was interesting. I switched roommates my second semester as my roommate moved in with one of his friends. There was a guy in the suite across the hall who lost a roommate and who i briefly met who said we suggested we room together since it would be better then getting a total stranger. We got along great, hung out every week with his friends and family and played floor hockey. We had 2 separate class schedules, he had classes at night i had them during the day so basically we had the room to ourselves while the other was in class. So u can pretty much guess when we jo. There was one incident where he came in at like 2am from working and i was in my top bunk sleep, im a very lite sleeper, and he stripped down to his red briefs and climbed up in my bunk. At first I thought it was a mistake but then i felt him touch my leg and he kinda froze, i'm trying to see if i was going to wake up, but then continued climbing in my bed. Just as a reaction i rolled over and looked at him and said wrong bed and i could see that he clearly knew someone was in the bed and was trying to get in without them knowing. Now that i think about it, it does make sense because he always said that i can crash in his bed if i ever came back drunk and couldn't make it up to my bunk. I guess he was trying to set it up lol. Guess i dropped the ball on that one. Then there was another incident with the same roommate. I guess you can say i planned this one. I wanted to catch him jo and on the weekends i worked in the computers labs so i went to work and opened the labs. Then i came back got my clothes to wash but he wasn't there. After i finished washing i brought them back and there he was pants around his ankles, porn site up(str , and him jo. He just said oh shyt i thought you had to work and i was like i am but im washing and just smiled and left lol. When i came back we laughed about it and he said that we all do it and kinda smiled because he has walked in on me as i was about to jo or was jo but i was always able to close everything and get dressed before he walked in but it was obvious because of the time and room was dark with just me in front of the computer. He was a cute red head.

Well i go to a school with an 80% population of guys and they are mostly hot. I ended up living with 5 other guys and they are all smokin hot and are all soccer players. YAY, ;-). Thankfully our dorm has a full kitchen and living space cause the 4 of them are very straight but one of them (the hottest one) is bi. So the first weekend we totally hit it off and while the others were out we ended up cuddling and watching the red sox game. Great day and since then we have gotten really close. Yesterday we actually took a shower together which was hot. The real reason behind the shower is because 3 of us had an 8 am class and we only have 2 showers in the suite. so we decided to share. AMAZING.

Sometimes it's tough when you're trying to get to know your roommates. Some of them don't really to bother to get to know the others, while some are just too busy and go back to the dorms to sleep. It'll get interesting, don't worry! In my first year of college, my roommate was on the water polo team. He wasn't necessarily ripped, but he was in good shape. The guy already memorized my schedule within the first two weeks so he could bring in his girlfriend to the room and have sex with her. The amount of times that I've walked in on them having sex was hilarious... especially when he never bothered to lock the door. The poor guy wouldn't expect it because he thought I would be in the research lab, but my supervisor would cancel any experiments we need to do for the week at times....that's when I'd catch the sap j/o and having sex with his girlfriend He also had a teammate that would come into the room and flash his dick every time. I was never really attracted to my roommate or his friends... I just thought it was a funny experience.

Hoodiestud saidOkay, so i moved in two days ago and i have to admit the dorm itself and my room are simply divine.

LOL well, how did it go? Get to meet other roomies? Cuties? Gotta dish lmao. Sorry to hear one of the guys isnt nice so far. Who knows maybe he will warm up.

So, now I have officially met and interacted with everyone. My closest person right now is the guy i thought was mean at first. Hes super cool and likes the same video games as me and even came fully stocked with HUGE trunks of movies! haha! The second guy, the nerd, is cool too, we've chatted a few times....he seems that hes gonna be just a decent guy in general. The third guy, the hott one, seems to be intimidated by me probably cuz im gay.
I havent told any of them, but i dont think its that difficult to tell when someone is. Not to mention ive had several gay friends visiting me and they are all obvious. I had a guy over last night after hanging out at my friends house and he came by to see the place, and everyone was home in the living room so i had to do introductions. And then we went in my room and needless to say we made out a little bit. But then he had to leave for home, and our faces were all flustered and pink haha and we walked out and if that wasnt a sign to them, i dont know what is.
But to make it even MORE awkward, we were standing in the hallway, and my friend told me that my cheeks were pink and lips were a little too. He was as well. And then, as we were waiting for the elevator, i heard the door shut behind us and out comes the hott guy who just walked up like he needed to say something but just stood there looking back and forth between us. No one said anything for a few seconds and then i started just blurting out random crap trying to cover my mouth and face! haha....so yeah. He seems to have made some distance from me since then....weird.

Damn, I missed college. I live on a college campus and work at a college, which makes me miss it even more!
I have a good college roommate story—it's how I met my boyfriend. He was my roommate sophomore year. We got along really great and become fast friends. Over the fall semester one thing led to another and seeing him change, etc and eventually we were drunk and had a friendly kiss. One thing led to another...and we're still together to this day.
I hope you have a great time at college Hoodiestud.

Stayed in a dorm the first semester and while my room mate wasn't particularly unattractive he did sell weed out of our room so needless to say I removed myself from the situation. My second room mate that same semester was an a fat guy who only took a shower once every few weeks and in between he would just roll on some deodorant. I'd try leaving him subtle hints about the state of his BO by doing things like leaving the window open and spraying so much air freshener into the air that the window HAD to be open but no dice. The second semester I got another new room mate and while he didn't sell drugs or stink he did have a tendency of leaving the bathroom door open after taking a dump and blasting music even though I was studying in the same shared room. I didn't accept either behavior and made him correct himself but that made it a pretty unpleasant experience. Now I live off campus with a few friends. Hope your experience is better than mine, lol.

I can't wait to start school again... I am thinking of getting a single dorm this time but now that i think about it... FUCK THAT... I really miss having a roommate living at home now. My brother and I are complete opposites and hes almost never around so meh.. thats not all that fun. Freshman year was the shit... I lived in a triple with 2 other guys and we had our own bathroom. One was a messy fuck the other was pretty alright guy that I thought was rich cause a dumbass friend of mine said he lived in the rich side of houston.. so i was expecting an ubber preppy.. NOPE got a guy from the poor side.. he was alright and actually the first guy I had a gay sexual experince with. I remember one day I came home and he was lying in my bed cause eeryone liked my bed. my mom gave me this 2.5in thick goose feather comfortor that i used to give me more padding on that rock of a mattress. he was passed out there and i was fucking tired then it dawned on me... " FAST INTERNET CONNECTION = FAST PORN!" so somewhere in my downloading i guess he woke up and saw what i was doing so he tried putting moves on me a few days later. I thought i was imaging that he was so i blew it off.. came back from class one day and was like.. ill sleep on this... woke up HORNY AS FUCK to him giving me a blow job. I wasnt sure what to do... i was like... uhhhh but then again he could finish what he started lol. he later asked me if i was gay and at this point i want sure but he was like "well lets find out". i returned the favor and we had many sessons like this over a two month period. my favorite thing was when he would wake up and kind of wake me up by pulling down my boxers, massaging my ass and kissing it and my lower back. such a turn on. then it all went south when he sided with the other roommate on some bullshit. I moved out. went to another room. that room i had my first openly gay roommate and saw him walking around in a thong in the morning... i than leanred the defiantion of twink. the other roommate was a bear! and liked me... he would come in while i was taking a shower and give me a hand job. i wasnt about to complain. moved out of there... had straight roommate that i think we got drunk one day and made out.. nothing crazy.. he was a good kisser. the next year not so eventful but had one stinky roommate that had a really great body and not such a great face but oh my god... i will never forget that BO. total turn off. he moved out and the next guy wasnt any better. third year, had a straight peice of eye candy that i befriended move in with me cause he hated his douche bag of a roommate and it was fun... good times. we are still friends and have had our share of fun together. we go out on man dates when his fiance is at work. never anything sexual but still.. hes like the best non boyfriend ive ever had. the last year... OMG! that roommate would never leave. he would go to sleep early, wake up early... NOT GOOD since I am a night owl and a socialite. I had to have my encounters in other places around campus... this included.... 3 stairwells, 3 lounges... once we got walked in on by some douche bag that for no real reason opened up the door to the louge that was had closed for obvious reasons, 2 dual-gender bathrooms, the pool, soccer field, baseball field... OH that was the best one... LMAO yeah.... I had a fucking blast... im looking foward to more good times. I just hope I get a hot roommate. and now that my school has sports to offer and a lot more guys... Im already scoping out potentials LMAO. hope you have a great year! Academically and... yeah... that way too. lol

I wouldn't do the dorm thing again if you paid me. All students from out of town were required to stay in dorms their first year (I have no idea why). I've always been the type who likes a little space to myself but I was stuffed into this tiny room with this guy. I figured it was a part of growing up so I'd go with it. My first night there the airline lost my luggage so all I had for two days was what I was wearing, some basic toiletries and a sweater to keep warm. My roommate was nice enough to let me borrow a blanket at night. He was actually pretty cool...for the first semester. When everything finally came and I unpacked we settled in and got to know each other. Interesting guy from Croatia...seemed smart enough and had a great gf (she and I got on really well). Over the Christmas break something must've happend 'cuz he snapped. He skipped classes all the time to play computer games on MY computer (even told me once I couldn't use it to write a paper because he was playing...better believe THAT didn't go over well), he refused to wash dishes, pick up his clothes, do laundry and as the semester got on, refused to leave the room. It got so bad his gf dumped him, the few friends he had wanted nothing to do with him, and no one seemed to call him (family included). With all the dirt and dishes piling up the room really started to reak and my patience was wearing thin but I finally snapped one day when I walked into the room to find him going through my underwear drawer. I asked him what he was doing and he said, "I ran out of underwear so I'm borrowing yours." I was floored. I asked if he'd ever 'borrowed' my underwear before. "Yeah, all the time." I told him to have the whole lot as I was just gonna' burn them and to do his Goddammned laundry. From there it just went downhill. The following year I was so over the roommate thing I rented the top floor of a house and lived alone until I graduated.
Mine was the exception though. From what I understood of everyone else in my program, with exception of maybe one, everyone had a great experience. Luck of the draw I guess.

Hah. Stories of roommates with girlfriends are funny. There was this one wild event, at 3 am, when my roommate called me on my cellphone to go downstairs and open the door for them in the residence hall. Hell, I was so tired that I only noticed the blood until I got in my dormitory. His girlfriend's knee was busted (they were both drunk) and she ran straight into a fence... full force... because he said "run, police!" when it was just a white car, lol. I think the best one was when all 3 of us went to the first FSU football game (they were both drunk, I was sober by then) and we lost my roommate. His girlfriend was so clingy, she held my hands and it got worse until she met up with her random guy friends and started to try to make out with them, then with me. It gets better, haha! We went up to the stands and she slaps & pushes this girl (for NO reason) that is in her way as we're heading up. Lets just say at this point I was between both girls trying to mediate the issue, telling the other girl not to pay attention because she's drunk... all amid a crowd that were saying "punch that bitch back". We finally get back down, unscratched, and what the hell does my roommate's girlfriend do? Finds the nearest cop and tells him the other girl picked a fight with HER when she was the one that started the whole scene. Thankfully, the cop tells us to leave after he takes us back to the stands to confront the girl. So much drama and yet it was so hilarious. I can't count the number of times on my hands or feet combined when I woke up to his girlfriend calling me between 1-3am, drunk off her ass, trying to get into our dormitory. I'm just happy I started off my 2nd year here in a house. Cheaper rent, my own bedroom and bathroom!

Yeah, I have roommate girlfriend stories galore.
One best was sophomore year. We lived in a suite. There were two rooms that shared a bathroom. I had my roommate, and then there were the other two guys sharing a room. One of them decides to call the other guy's girlfriend a "ho" when she calls up to get into the dorm. She comes marching down the hall angry as hell. She bams on the door, and everybody on the floor hears the commotion. So naturally, they come in the hallway. She grabs the guy that called her a ho (he is 5ft. 7 and she is 5 ft.6) and slams him against the wall. Her boyfriend is standing there, my roommate and I are standing there, and the whole hall is watching.
"Who's a ho?" She screams while still holding him up against the wall.
He is trying to get free, but that shit isn't happening.
Finally, her boyfriend grabs her arm.
"She was no, I want him to call me that to my face. I will fuck him up."
The roommate is standing there quiet as a mouse. She grabs her boyfriend by the arm and they leave. It was the biggest mess.

I had a few bad times with roommates but na man... nothing too serious. I hated having beef with roommates but I hated when they were overly fucking dirty. That would piss me the fuck off. Im not a clean freak... but come on... keep it OK. I had my roommates walk in on me and a guy going at it once. It was kind of funny cause I thought they would have left but no... they stayed to watch... KIND OF weird.

Balljunkie saidLiving in the dorms can be fun as hell.
Straight guys are such fags when they get together in groups. hehe. I swear that has to be why some of them are so stupidly homophobic-- because suddenly all their casual, natural homoerotic behaviour gets cast in this "well maybe you want to take it up the butt from another guy-- does that make you a chick?" light that threatens their feeling of masculinity. And that judgmental attitude is so artificial, built up on the fragile (often religiously influenced) false premise that males and females are practically like different species, one 'thinking and controlled and dominant' and the other 'feeling and irrational and submissive,' and never the 'twain shall meet except for the former's satisfaction and/or to procreate. It's a sham from the ground up-- we know now how similar the sexes actually are and how the differences, while they are there, aren't hard limits on the capabilities of either-- but still the polar, dichotomous idea and its spin-offs keeps us fixating on differences and trying to rank them hierarchically. How much would it smooth things over if, as a culture, we could re-imagine "masculinity" as simply a preference for the company of other guys ( however those guys choose to organize themselves and act when together). Because guys are so diverse that trying to define masculinity as a trait that we share, antithetical to (or "better than") 'femininity' and 'gayness,' seems increasingly futile when guys together (including [maybe even especially] straight guys) can demonstrate most of the range of 'feminine' and 'gay' stereotypes to some degree or another as long as they feel safe in the company of other accepting males. Instead of it being a 'characteristic' thing-- "we're manly because we're different from women in ways X, Y, and Z"-- maybe it's more affirming and helpful to see it as an associational thing-- "we're manly because we're most easily 'ourselves' when we're with other men." I think what makes so many men neurotic is the dissonance between being expected, as men, to deride 'fags' as proof of one's masculinity and then acting like high-octane homos when there are no women around to impress and compete for or be judged by. Because guys really can and do love other guys, and affectionate behaviour all the way up to the point of social sexual contact is hardwired into our social primate brains, and nothing's shameful or perverse about that unless you've been brainwashed into some dogmatic, unnatural view of human sexuality in general.

Right on. How could guys not love each other? Over months and years of doing things, sharing mutual interests, bonding, of course, it is going to happen. I have fallen in love with and had some of my friends fall in love with me in ways that transcend the physical. It is a deep connection.

Dorm life was fun for a while for me but if you are like most you will get sick of it and want to live some place else. I'm in my last year of college and live off campus. Much better situation but I have some fun memories. My advice to you would be set some rules when it comes to your roommates even if they are hot and curious. After a while they become like family. Some in a good way like a brother or real cool cousin. Some in a bad way like an annoying cousin that you want to beat the fuck out of. Either way you could never see yourself fucking around with family so keep that in mind. Now other guys in your dorm but not roommates that's a different story I had a real hot time with a dude on another floor that was just some drunken exploration but it was pretty hot.

See I dont know how you meet these other guys on other floors and like mess around with them, because there doesnt seem to be much interaction between the all the dormmates besides classes and such. There arent any big parties or events that brings us all together. And even if it did, how do i sniff them out?? This is too complicated. And to top it all off, the hott guy in my dorm room has a girlfriend as i came to realize when he said, "Hey guys im gonna bring my girlfriend over to hang with me a little, alright?"
Another disappointment! Haha....
as for my other classes only 2 hott guys in 3 of my classes, that is ridiculous, im beginning to think that hott guys dont exist at my school. One of the hott guys though, in my photo class, is just wow! Like wow wow! haha....but i believe hes straight, and hes part of a frat....makes him even more hotter.

My roommates sophomore year lived on the second floor of my dorm. I lived on the seventh. I made friends with them just by walking through the building. There is a guy I met on the elevator freshman year. I still talk to him now. He is married.
You will meet people in your dorm. I lived in four different dorms. There wasn't one of the dorms that I didn't meet or make a friend end. It will happen. It is still early. And travel around the building.

I have my money on the photography class guy that he is gay or bi or maybe curious... just seems to usually be that. I think you said school is just starting for you so just hold up a bit. Wait for their to be some on campus mixers. I would go to almost all of the campus activities and their would be events sponsored by the resident assistants where we would all get together in the lounge and watch movies and what not or have cookouts. I mean It was in fact a lot of fun. Hanging out poolside by our dorm. You will meet people in your dorm too. I met a lot of guys at the rec. center and even just by doing my laundry.. hanging out there reading a book or playing a video game on my laptop. If your dorm has a court yard... chill out there. Just put yourself out there to meet people if that's what you want to do. I used to love doing my homework at night out in the courtyard. sometimes I would just be their blogging... (read through my myspace blog the other day and wow... i forgot about some of the crazy shit I saw). After my experience with messing around sexual with roommates... i wouldn't advise it. it can get tricky really fast unless it actually becomes a relationship... otherwise its like having a 1/2 boyfriend and best friend which sucks... I'm in that bit of a mess right now with my Ex BF .. soon to be BF again. it can get tricky so just watch yourself on that one. Keep a fresh stock of Dos Equis or any other kind or beer, funny movie, and you'll get to spend time with your roommates and have a blast. The main thing is just to be out there and be a man with a plan and a mission. damn i love this book im reading. this next time around is going to be very different lol. This just also ran across my mind... join a frat? if that's your cup of tea that is and I know plenty of gay frat guys. In fact, one openly gay brother of a frat I wanted to join was very seriously trying to recruit me back in the day. There were like 5 other guys in there that were gay also. I'm planing on joining once I get back in school. January cant come soon enough.

If you join a professional fraternity then they have a set of required hours for you to fulfill. For example, I joined the Chemistry fraternity (yeah, funny!) but it's the best decision I ever made. When I pledged, I just had to complete 4 hours of socials and 4 hours of professionals. That's it. One lifetime fee as well. They do things just as any other fraternity do: parties, events, etc... get drunk... etc... get drunk a lot at beach weekends ... etc. Just be aware that for these professional fraternities, you don't need to have any prior knowledge to join them. Simply be interested.

What do you mean by having prior knowledge to join?? as I stated before, I'm in a chemistry fraternity. There were a few people that I tutor through my fraternity (we do weekly tutoring for free; math, chem, sciences, etc) that believed they needed knowledge in chemistry to join. They also thought that we get tested on chemistry topics, which I thought was hilarious. The only thing you need to be able to pledge (pledging is 1 semester long) is to have chemistry 2 finished or be in it during the semester you pledge. Other than that, that's it! You'll never been quizzed on anything pertaining to your chemistry classes. It's kind of like the biology fraternity as well, you need to complete genetics (or I think, cell structure & function) to be able to pledge.

When I was in my first year of law school, I was in the dorm with my cousin and 6 undergraduates. We shared a common living room (there were 2 bathrooms in the facility).
The first semester was really pretty difficult, partially because I was focused on my studies and trying to get and learn everything right. We had a variety of undergrads who seemed to relish causing trouble (not toward me necessarily, just whoever happened to be there). It drove my cousin crazy. I remember hearing the story about the football player who was in the suite .... who made gay insinuations toward my cousin (who isn't the least bit gay). My cousin was incensed and once I had to prevent him from busting the football player in the face. He football player made some vague comment about my cousin sucking him....... LOL I've thought about that several times. hehe.

Before the football dude moved in, we had some middle aged "devil worshipper" in the group. My cousin called him "lurch".. and he was.
I remember coming back to the dorm after Labor Day and the dude had candles lit in his windows and was doing some chant. We finally got him thrown out by the end of September. He had been keeping a gun in his room.
By the end of the first sememster, my cousin and I moved to a different dorm that way much less intrusive. My 2nd year, we had an apartment....

Hoodiestud saidI considered it, but then i heard you should only join a frat if you have too much time on your hands....and i dont. thats the social type of frat. you could join a cultral frat or even some of the social onces that have professional ties. I mean ChiPhi for example or even the one I want to join Lambda Chi Alpha. Do your research. some of them are just party frats but alot of them prove helpful later in life from a professional aspect. I know plent of guys that have gotten the hookups to jobs and what not from their older frat brothers. Its a great way to socialize and meet new people... guys for sure.

My 2nd year, we had an apartment.... hah we had one R.A. that lived down the hall from my roommate and I. We called him "Turtle". As you would expect, he walked around all moopy, pissed at the world, blah... he sucked. I got my first write up from him because he said my tv was loud and it wasnt even mine... it was the asshat next door. And then That asshat! Even after the fact that he wasnt an RA anymore... he took the liberty of opening the lounge doors and peeping in to see what was going on and totally walked in on me and an old roomie going at it in the lounge. He saw nothing cause we were pretty much still covered up but Im like WTF?! If thoes lounges could talk seirously. Too bad now they have cameras in the dorms now from what I saw. =( not sure how much ill be able to get away with now. lol. Had one "lurch"ish roomate once too. smelled like one! wow... ill I tried to make that one work but damn... he smelled and totally was incompatible with my other roomate and i. our livings/sleeping place was like one big bed room for 3 guys. He wanted lights/tvs/radios/computers off by 10p. I flat out said... okay, tvs/radios i could turn down low or use headphones... lights (main lights) sure off ... we had lamps.but I said fuck him to the computer. I would chat and do homework late at night or even play games online with my other roommate and other guys across campus. we would watch late night movies. it was a blast but yeah... eventually he moved out. I felt bad cause he was real outsider and new to the school but come on man...
