This is being led by their National Health Service.

Maybe not a bad thing if the US gets one!

I wholly support such a view of human sexuality. The puritanical view that only orgasms between married men and women are legitimate will hopefully die off before this century is over.

I believe we had a Surgeon General who advocated teaching kids about masturbation; she was canned shortly thereafter. This was back in the 80's or early 90's? anybody remember?

well it's a great idea and i have been trying to convice my bf to instuitute such a policy in our bedroom, since, well, pretty much since we met. so far it hasn't really worked. maybe i need to invest in an expensive pr campaing like the nhs...icon_wink.gif

i think its great, because, not only HAS it been shown that orgasms on a regular basis can better health- specifically boosting the immune system- but because by endorsing a health-conscious exercise of orgasming regularly, it could get all those British teens, so prone to early pregnancy, to think about sex in a healthier way- not just as something taboo to do when the parents aren't home because it makes them feel deliciously naughty and adult- which i remember being part of the thrill of sex in middle school. much like the legalization of drugs, or lower drinking ages, i really think that encouraging it rather than forbidding it will decrease unsafe practices.

sex has been viewed as a taboo and sinful-pleasure indulgence since the byzantine age, and i'd love to see a return to the lavaciousness of the Romans, Greeks, etc- sex is natural, healthy, divine even- not something to feel guilty about or to fear. the more the taboo and antiquated, thread-bare victorian prudishness can be thrown out, the happier everyone will be.

short-sited and sarcastic or not, but one of the N. H. S. acronyms that the U. S. will permit - especially, in this case - is the Nat'l Honor Society ...

I love it! Masturbation is the safest form of sex there is (not nearly as much fun as others, though), plus it is nature's antidepressant/antianxiety treatment!

Masturbation has always been healthy and recommended as long as it doesnt infer a pathology such as:

1 - You cant get an orgasm unless you masturbate yourself
2 - When the individual can't perform any normal activity like sleeping, running, cooking, etc unless he masturbates first.
3 - When the guy masturbates in public(orgies are excepted)

As long as you dont fall into any of these cases, you can jerck off as much as you need icon_razz.gif

    Let me add:

The puritanical view that only orgasms between married men and women, in the missionary position with the lights off, are legitimate...
