I like the songs. They're not necessarily forward thinking or innovative in structure, and they're trying to sound like current trends rather than trying to sound new. But they fill a yearning niche of mature soulful R&B music that's largely ignored today. There's so much harmony and melody in these songs. Very aesthetically pleasing to listen to.

I am NOT however looking forward to a SLEW of AWFUL circuit house remixes of these tracks produced by failing aged gay DJ-producers that will be played every god damn night at every god damn gay club that isn't a gaytino club.

Not too bad, I really want her to be successful, but I wonder how she will deal with singing her old hits? Doesn't sound like her voice can support thaticon_rolleyes.gif

You're confusing Whitney Houston with Black Eyed Peas.

I do like her early stuff, and the new stuff is decent... BUT what's up with her messing up Donny Hathaways " A Song for You" with the up tempo dance beats???

IT'S ACTUALLY a *LEON RUSSELL* SONG, Ray Charles covered it 1st, then Donny Hathaway, Donna Summer, Now Whitney...and Whitney does the best rendition.

    U HAVE BEEN EDUCATEDicon_twisted.gif

No accounting for taste right? I suppose there are people who also think Streisand and Pavarotti are horrible singers...and others who think Bob Dylan has a beautiful voice. To each his own....

it's a'ight-- i'm not thrilled. they just can't seem to find a good vehicle for her. the preacher's wife soundtrack was the last thing that sounded amazing. i was expecting her to rise from the ash with this one, like mariah's emancipation of mimi. oh well

and what jake said. not looking forward to remix bludgeoning one bit.

I would not put Mariah in da same category wit Whitney...icon_lol.gif My advice is actually listen to da CD, it appears u guys are coming off angry about shyt dat happen many, many years ago...LET IT GOicon_exclaim.gif Whitney has da best CD out, she is debuting #1 next week on Billboard, Mariah, is not there yet, she does not compare wit Whitney at allicon_eek.gif
