Although there are some here who seem to object donating to support RJ, I try to see things from their point of view.
It must cost them something to run a website such as RJ, and the advert box on the home page (if that's what it is) is always blank. Do they get some form of sponsorship from commercial companies?
Actually, an article from the admin on how the site is financed, including the list of commercial sponsors, would enlighten me. Are the members of RJ admin staff work full time, part time or voluntarily? If the first two applies, then they must receive an income.
As for myself, I would have liked the idea of buying support, but for two objections.
1. I never buy anything online, or make any transaction online. This has nothing to do with RJ - it is my fear of possible fraudsters hacking into my email address and finding out my bank account codes. Internet fraud is a big thing and a serious one at that. This applies to all sites, regardless of what it is.
2. RealJock is based in the USA, and I live in the UK. So to buy support would involve currency exchange from sterling to the dollar. Of course, RJ would not charge me extra, but the banks would, therefore I would have to pay more to receive the same benefits as a supporter than a USA member.
RealJock is a damn good website. For me personally, it has the best, easy to use Forum facility, the "Who Viewed me" makes me feel that I'm noticed, and yes, I'm too am glad that "the last two members who viewed me" feature is back. But to be told how many members viewed me throughout the last thirty days would be an additional benefit. Realjock did this for a short while during the weekly news bulletins.
Finally, I wish RealJock a very successful future in giving us a top class service to all its members.
